that the Society for the Conservation of State Traditions is a fiercly nationalistic Caldari lobbyist organization that unleashed a scathing rebuke of PIE Inc. pilot Kostantin Mort in late YC106.

This is a thread for good old game music postings. Poast what brings you back to the 'goold old days' of gaming.

Brings me back to my first time playing C&C demo shareware... GDI mission 1. Good times.

Not enough gunfire, screams and squished infantry sounds. Then again, when I think of C&C, I mostly think of RA1, and this track.

I recall there was one day, I got a hold of a copy of the sequel to one of my youth's finest games. And I spent all night playing it, from late in the evening until morning came, beat the game in one setting. One of the most awesome nights in my life, it was glorious.

I'd say the classic Hell March would take me right back to my early days of Mammoth whoring, but it's on my computer's music list, so I hear it pretty often.

Here's another C&C tune, courtesy of Tiberian Sun. Anyone who's played the game should recognize this - it plays at the start of every single mission.

I like the implications of Gallentians being punched in the face by walking up to a Minmatar as they so freely use another person's culture as a fad.

Using a link that specifically avoids in-game footage from where this is used during Homeworld just in case someone hasn't played it.

Quest for Glory.  Remember that whole "adventure" genre?  Good times.

Came to add this, but you beat me to it. Classic.

Also, another omgawdepic track for me:

So many good Amiga memories.

The Cannon Fodder theme is a great classic too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiYuq6Ac3a0&feature=related

Awww yeah.

Childhood.

And this piece ressurrects memories. :O

I'm tempted to dig out stuff from the absurdly good TA and UT soundtracks, but then it'd be borderlining into stuff that's not old enough for proper nostalgia :p

Wings is still one of the most immersive games I've played to date. The journal with its regular anecdotes on daily life in the squadron really made the game come to life. Whenever one of the old-timers on the flight roster went down in flames, it felt like a real loss too.

I just discovered that there was an attempt on Kickstarter to do a re-release of Wings - but it already failed. Sadface now.

I think I got something like $200 for selling my original copy on EBAY one unfortunate summer when I was short of cash.

Aaaah, Adigo for Strings.

I recall playing the game when this poped up, and my mother asked what I was doing. I ended up explaining to her what I was playing and what was happening in that mission. A little weird (as a teen you don't really consider your botanist mother to be very interested in computer-games ;)) but she seemed genuinely interested and made some comentary on how fitting the song was :D

As for classics, here's another game I borrowed from a friend, right before I came down with a serious case of the flu.

I was sick for a week, but it was worth it.

Here's to unfortunately sold games :( I let my copy of Suikoden II go for ~$150 on ebay and can't help but regret it today.

I was stuck on the Luca Blight battle for well over a week. This music haunted my dreams at age 12.
