One thing that interests me is the divide between Gallente and Caldari applications of technology. It's said that Caldari have the "most advanced technology", but there are more examples of the Gallente inventing things and generally applying them in more convenient ways (AI, automation, ultra high-tech cities, etc.). So, what I was thinking is that both factions are the most advanced technologically, just the difference comes from how they apply said technology.
There could be a myriad of different examples. An example of Gallente hi-tech would be their stations, which are designed to emulate planetary environments (complete with flora). Even underwater or subterranean cities too? Then of course, extensive use of drones and automation from the day-to-day. Fully-automated factories staffed by androids, too.
An example of Caldari tech is more subtle and lay in the construction of an object rather than its outward function. Like, Ukomi superconductors are in high-demand because of their superior technology, but it's not like the average Joe has use for it. I guess it's having technologies that assist in wider units for an entire industrial system, rather than having technologies that will benefit everyone's ease of living on an individual basis.
Also, from reading the FP, it sounds like Gallente tech is not universally distributed, and that you have agrarian communities that still use television and all that. Sounds like the State has technology at every level except their impoverished areas for those who fell off the bottom.
So I suppose, Gallente have the superior civilian and domestic technology, whereas Caldari have the superior industrial and military technology? I can't exactly pinpoint the wording that would differentiate how the two cultures apply tech.
