My first attempt at Rp. I cringe thinking about it.

Further attempts were much better written, but I was trying to tell a story instead of actually roleplay, and so those attempts remained...problematic. It would have been really nice if someone had directed me to the OOC channel back then and beat me over the head before I wasted two years not RPing.

It would be good I feel, if we could somehow set up an initiative to 'capture' new RPers, so that people like me aren't left locked outside the community for ages.

I was just thinking about this a couple of days ago. The whole "*Asteroid explodes in the Veldnought's face.* Dammit!" remained in my mind for a long time.

As I mentioned earlier, I remembered when this happened (though I didn't make the connection to our Kita). And even at the time, I thought, "bit of god-moding but creative and this person has potential". <3

No reason to hate on the newbies, just the n00bs.

I found the reason why somebody should have laughed me out of RPing: Vieve's very first visit to The Skyhook.  Darius and Trent dragged her there back when the place was changing owners (they were very fuzzy on it at the time, and I was clueless).  I was loopy on migraine medication at the time IRL, which ultimately translated ICly into 'this is what happens when Vieve drinks tequila', complete with insane biological explanations, 'cause that's how I roll.

I was later informed (after I shared intel on the contents of Vieve's evening bag) that Skyhook security detonated it as a safety precaution. Presumably they were eventually schooled on how to deal with carnivorous plants worn as bodyguards/accessories.

The bag belonged to Vieve's great-grandmother.  Celeste is still annoyed by that.
