Well, today is the day for streaming, and somehow I woke up on time to see the first stream. So, what interests you from what you've seen?

- 1000 people is pretty big for a Fanfest
- The mayor of Reykjavik visited to present some award.

My impression is (a) they have serious network problems and (b) they're streaming the less-interesting sessions. >.<

I have no problems getting a good feed (non-HD).

As for the second, I'd assume the Content Team's discussion at least would be pretty relevant to most folks in here. Personally, I liked it and they pretty much stated out loud what I was musing a few weeks back on this board: that since the time I was last active in the game, content has gone from a rogue team with no real place or impact inside CCP into a group that is integrated into the company. I'm very pleased to see that have happened.

Body tattoos coming, more clothing collections! Also new fonts and UI framework (think trailer UI).

Because CCP is a member of the Illuminati and they want to suppress the gaming world for the elite.

Or maybe Fanfest isn't over yet. Or it's not important for the mainstream players.

There's a 65-page thread that disagrees.

GO BRAINS!

Other than that I logged into the stream a bit late so I'm catching up on keynotes right now.

The idea of a true "Central Bank" in Eve worries me.  It seems like they were working to move away from that (removing more & more NPC items), the linked slide indicates otherwise.

Whoever thinks that somehow CCP will start forcing things on people and take away market profitability is paranoid (respectfully speaking)

Unless you consider 600 PLEXs being bought at once and then sold immediately afterwards normal behavior. Need I remind everyone of that Russian millionaire. And that's just it; only PLEX is involved, not the whole market.

Unless you're fine with 600 PLEXs being bought at once and then sold immediately afterwards normal behavior. Need I remind everyone of that Russian millionaire.
That was a quick change of wording, considering prior to an edit you essentially said I was crazy for my RL political views.

CCP has supplied a mechanic for someone to leverage out-game wealth to gain in-game wealth.  I have to assume the concern is the cost of PLEX rising. But, you can also destroy PLEX in-game.  Apparently that is a good idea?

How much is $15 (a month of game time) worth in isk?
Does CCP really want to peg in-game isk against a particular real-world currency?
