Re: OP:
I don't mind WCS that much. If you choose to use them, you gimp your ship inimaginably hard; furthermore, the abundance of HICs means that even stabbed you aren't safe. I still think those people who fit them and then go on long hikes through lowsec are absolute idiots, as it's far to easy to set up a camp with enough points to grab a stabbed ship (get a scout instead). However, as an option solely for configuring your ship for transit, I find it a fairly acceptable trade-off.
Now, my personal pet peeves...
1, supercaps. For whatever reason you want to pin it on, the amount of minerals and ISK out there on the market has risen dramatically. One of the effects of this has been the abundance of supercaps ALL OVER THE PLACE. It used to be a titan or mothership was an enourmous project that alliances poured all their funds into, effecting campaigns to protect their supercapitals in production or terminate their enemies'. But, the production requirements of supercapitals has never been updated to compensate for the increased minerals and ISK I mentioned earlier, so now... well, Supercapitals are practically a mandate to be a reasonable force in the cluster, and are frequently toys for use by everyone with several spare billion on hand.
2, macro-___ers. Especially the ratters. I'll not say to much on this, as I can easily see it slipping into moderate-able territory, but the fact that macroers are so often able to operate unmolested is a particular grind on my nerves. Especially since I do blame them (at least) for the increase in available minerals I mentioned in part 1.
