A Revolutionary Idea for Roleplay

I believe I have found the solution to the lack of planetary government roleplay. By combining our fictional ideas of various planets in relation to empire / pirate governments with the canon of EVE, we can do the following:

1. Join NationStates, read the FAQ.

2. Create a "nation" and make it canon / relevant.

3. Create regions (you'll find out about them in the FAQ) and let us all join specific ones that are canon to EVE (Gallente Federation, SuVee, Amarr, etc)

If you're interested, just say so here, and maybe we can coordinate something on the forums and possibly create some new RP based on this idea. I'll show you all an example that's not EVE-based, but notice the ripped off name:

There are multiple forums, websites, and wikis the players maintain and contribute to, and a very big RP community, so I don't see a problem with us EVE RPers having a new board just for this. The dynamic bios the game creates for you as you progress isn't sufficient enough for EVE RP.

I'd do it, but both my nation already exploded, so I'm clearly not the best dictator.

'Course that might have more to do with the month-long inactivity penalty, which explodes your nation.

Yeah, it's older than EVE

Just from a community standpoint, I notice that I am finding tons of RP to take part in, especially in the new alliance (region) I'm in. Imagine the possibilities if we all had well-crafted "planets", with player-made bios stored inside a board.

A field day for Ken.

I doubt they would welcome people creating content there that is property of CCP.

I'm talking about fictional planets that are also canon; thousands of planets in the game, I'm sure we can come up with something that fits in. And you wouldn't be RPing everything there, rather, it would be here in these forums where planet / government biographies, individuals, etc would be constructed. I'm not a fan of forum RP, but this is an exception IMO.

Whoah, blast from the past. Lacking the time though to spend on things like this, even if it was always good fun.

You mean ... I'd have to take all the random chicken scratching I've done about planet-y and political-y things and make it coherent?

AUGH!

Ooh! I used to play this once, too.

If I had infinite amounts of time, making a make-believe EVE planet and playing that with Nation States might sound interesting.

As it is... Yea. I used to play it once.

Yeah, that's the problem. But it's so worth it.
