All Gallentean names are Romantic, even Intaki and Jin-Mei...this is interesting in regards to Gallente cultural imperialism. Intaki retain an "en" prefix in their names, like en Diabel. Meanwhile, however, Jin-Mei have a double-barrelled setup. The first name is Gallentean, while the second is Ji. So Chent-Shi, Pacht-Feng, Abre-Kai...

So these are all randomly generated?  Most seem to fit my preconceptions about racial surnames.  For myself, when stuck with no good ideas, I've simply used EVE-Agents to track down a proper-sounding surname or at least a basis for one.  Just query for agents belonging to the proper faction and a list of 100 possible nams pops right out.

As someone with a couple characters so surnamed (Stuffy enStuff vs. Stuffy en Stuff), I hope they'll accept name change petitions if there is a change in the character naming policy.

"Family names" must be more liberal. The "name" box probably has the same restriction? Who knows...

Interesting, one of the Achur names is Ahishatsu. First randomly generated name I've seen that kinda ended like my char's. Maybe Istvaan's got some Achura blood in his ancestry. Yay mongrelism!

Yes, at the last step for naming and such (and choosing your initial NPC corp, yay), you now have "first name" and "surname" fields. The latter has a "randomize" button.
