Charlie Brooker is awesome...here's some videos of him covering...

My Sweet 16
Fat kids
Reality TV
American news
X-Factor
Elimination shows

Having to live in this horrid media-driven culture, he is quite the breath of fresh air. However, one that I just watched is, while still funny, is a lot more provocative about our current culture than any of the other stuff...if you remember Jade Goody

But yeah, probably the biggest genius of our time, at least for us Brits, regarding the mass media of today. Moreover, if you can appreciate his humour, you can probably begin to see the context of my own, that seems to offend a lot of you :P (except for the Brits)

EDIT - Does a bit of gaming stuff too...

Wolfenstein 2009 review
Violent video games
Genre rundowns part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4
Very amusing review of 50 Cent, blood on the sand

After watching a few of those vids it seems like he is a one trick pony, and he doesn't even know his trick that well.

Those of us with longer memories will recall Charlie Brooker from when he wrote for PC Zone, which is defunct as of this month, sadly.

Anyway, Brooker phones Activision for support:

I like this guy. He presents things as a realist, looking beyond the facade.

My only issue (not with him, but British culture in general) is that there's too much cynicism and self-deprecation in the UK. I don't get it; does the lack of sun and strong feelings about Gordon Brown make you depressed?

He's spot on about Glenn Beck though. Hilarious, I forgot that Beck fake cried using menthol gel.
