Yeah, it's the Citadel line of paints. They're quite good really but for some reason I just can't make the White Scar white paint behave properly. I have a few ideas on what to try next time I do chapter badges. Practice makes perfect.

Besides, when I'm done painting everything I have, it's entirely possible I give everything a solvent bath and paint it all over again.

I don't know about the current meta, but in my day at least IG were absolutely OP Army, with only space wolves being more broken OP :).   

I always liked the IG lore because they weren't superhuman, or magical, just normal fragile men with guns and their wits, and thrown like expendible chaff against monsters and demons.

Oh IG is a quite decent army. Great table presence and adaptability. No matter what you need, there's a tank for that. I'm just making fun of the laser pointers and cardboard boxes.
