S1 is a Team Combat Sport played primarily in the Caldari State. A match, consists of 3 teams of 6, armed with modified weapons, battling to eliminate each other in a vast, maze-like Arena. S1 players are known for having incredible reflexes and agility, which makes S1 one of the faster and more acrobatic physical combat sports in the cluster, as opposed to most Combat Sports which consist more of brute force and sheer firepower. Due to the non-lethality of the Sport, it is also known for its Characters, whom are promoted vigorously and paid very well. This is different from other Combat Sports as well, where combatants typically have very short careers due to the lethality of their sport.
Capsuleers are forbidden to participate, but many follow the sport with enthusiasm, and Gambling on S1 matches(by both Capsuleers and planetside folk) is very popular. S1 has proven to be a place where skilled former Outlaws and Pirates can find legitimacy and fame in the Arena.
A Coalition of S1 Leagues is attempting to organize a State-wide, Planet-based Tournament, tentatively called the S1 State Cup.
The Match:
The primary objective of S1 is to eliminate all members of the opposing teams, while keeping your allies in the match. This is accomplished by depleting each opposing player's Point pool. Each Player begins with 100 points. Each time a Player is hit with a Bullet, they lose an amount of points, dependent on where they were hit.
The Match consists of three teams of 6, and it lasts until one team eliminates the two others.
The Weapons:
S1 players use Pistols, arm-mounted Reflective Shields, Rifles, and other Devices, as their primary weapons. These weapons are modified to be non-lethal, and include hit-tracking software built into both weapons and ammunition. Lethal weaponry is outlawed, as is killing players in a match. Players wear light combat armor, modified to provide hit-tracking, particularly in 4 "Vital Zones" - Head, Chest, Both Shoulders.
The Teams - Each team is comprised of 6 Active players, and 4 Reserves. They are split into 4 Positions - Guardian, Striker, Logi, and Longshot. Each Active team must have 2 Guardians, 2 Strikers, 1 Logi, and 1 Longshot.
The Players:
Each team is broken down into 4 distinct roles. Each Player (except the Longshot) is equipped with a Pistol as his/her primary weapon, and a Special, Role-based Device mounted on his/her Off-hand. Each Player is equipped with Rocket boots for short range jumps and boosts.
Guardian - Guardians are the only Role allowed to use a Reflective Shield. The primary job of a Guardian is to shield his/her teammates by blocking fire from Opponents. A Guardian also serves as a formidable Offensive player, firing from behind his shield and/or using his shield to knock a charging opponent down. The Shield can absorb 100 points of damage before it deactivates for 10 seconds.
Striker - Strikers are offensive attackers. They have a choice of two Devices. The first is a short duration Cloaking device that renders them invisible for 5 seconds, and has a 15 second recharge. A Striker who specializes in this Device is known as a Sneaker. The Second Device is an arm-mounted Gauntlet that can be used offensively as a blunt weapon(however, a player does NOT lose points for being hit with a melee attack), or to reflect fire in a pinch. A Striker who uses the Gauntlet is known as a Claw. A Striker may also forego both devices, in favor of a 2nd Pistol. A Striker who does this is known as a Twin.
Logi - A Logi, as the name suggests, is a Support player. His/her primary Device is a arm-mounted Repair Device. With the repair device, every 5 minutes, the Logi can use this device to grant 15 lost points to a single teammate. The Logi has to be within range and sight of the teammate. Once every 30 minutes, the Logi can use the Special Ability of the Repair Device, to grant every teammate in his immediate vicinity 25 lost points.
Longshot - The Longshot is a Sniper. Equipped with a Customizable (yet subject to rigorous inspection) Rifle, the Longshot's job is to gain a valuable vantage point, and provide offensive support in the way of Suppresive fire and specialized Ammunition. Instead of Devices, the Longshot has access to a variety of specialized Ammunition that he can choose from. With one exception, Specialized Ammo does not take points from a target. Stasis Ammo can freeze a target in place for 2 seconds. Slowing Ammo slows a target's run speed for 4 seconds. Shield ammo can project a short duration(3 seconds) reflective bubble at the point of impact(however, if it hits a player, it will fail). Split ammo splits itself into multiple shards while in flight (this ammo DOES take points, if a player is hit with them). These are just a few examples of Specialized Ammunition, and a Longshot can select 2 types of Specialized Ammo to bring with him into a match, alongside his regular ammunition.
Scoring:
Each Player begins a match with 100 points. Each time they are struck, the player loses points based on where they were hit.
Head - 20 points
Chest - 10 points
Shoulders - 5 points
Anywhere else - 1 point.
Once a Player's point total is reduced to 0, that player is eliminated from the match, and his team continues on without him. A match ends when 2 teams are completely eliminated.
League Structure:
An official Top-Tier S1 League has have 27 teams, divided into 3 Divisions of 9 teams each.
A typical S1 season run about 15 weeks, known as Sets. The season counts down from Set 15, to Set 1.
A Set is 3 matches, contested over the course of a week, by the same 3 teams, with each team hosting one Match in the Set. For larger competitions, such as a Planetwide tournament, then length of time for a Set is increased to accommodate longer travel.
Each team receives 5 Standings Points for each Match they win. At the end of Set One, the team with the most Standing Points in its Division is the Division Champion. The S1 Championship is a Single Match contested by the three Division Champions, where the Match Winner is crowned League Champion.
A standard S1 League system consists of 3 Tier.
The Bronze Tier(S1 Bronze) is the lowest professional level, and where all new Teams begin and promising amateur players go to prove themselves. Teams and players are paid decently, enough to make a good living, but significantly less than the higher tiers. The three Division Winners in S1 Copper are promoted to the the Silver Tier. It is not entirely uncommon for a team to disband after being relegated to S1 Bronze.
The Silver Tier(S1 Silver) is the middle professional level. This where those who have proven themselves in the Copper tier go in order to gain more attention in hopes of making it to the top tier. They are paid well, and as they perform in S1 Silver, they garner the attention of the Elite teams and they obtain minor growths in fame. The Three Division Winners are promoted to S1 Gold, and the last place team in each Division is relegated to S1 Bronze, replaced by the S1 Bronze Division winners.
The Gold Tier (S1 Gold), is the top tier. This is the best of the best, the elite competition. The superstars of the sport play in Gold Tier leagues. These elite stars receive massive paydays and celebrity status. The last place team in each division is relegated to S1 Silver, replaced by the S1 Silver division winners.

My goal is to eventually submit this Concept(once it is finished), to Evelopedia. I figured that here might be a good place to post it first, get some feedback/opinions, and work out whatever issues may come up with the idea, before doing so.
