NASA has backed a statement by it's Curiosity Team that recent analysis of an ancient stream has produced organic materials needed for basic life. Further analysis highlighted in a live stream with the team that has just concluded also indicates that said stream may not have been a stream, but part of a very large ancient lake at the base of Mount Sharp.
