Torment: Tides of Numenera
« on: 19 Mar 2013, 14:49 »

InXile is taking up a second project called Torment: Tides of Numenera, that is a spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment which will be set in Monte Cook's upcoming tabletop setting. It's on Kickstarter right now and hit $1mil on or shortly after its first day I think, setting some kind of record I'm sure. They've already assembled more than a few promising names to help this game's development.

There is a video which introduces their goals for Torment, at around 4:00 plot premise given by their creative lead Colin McComb. Also an endorsement given by Chris Avellone, whom I love. InXile has been posting regular updates on Torment's pre-development on their YouTube, too.

PS:T is one of, if not my absolute, favorite CRPGs so I'm fairly freaking stoked to see this happening at all. Of anything I've funded via crowd, Torment is easily my most anticipated.

Chipped in for this one too. Original Torment was one of my favourite games of all time, totally looking forward to this.
