Any space-rich STO players around?
« on: 12 Jan 2013, 15:58 »

So I've picked up STO. Very fun game, and I have a lovely ship (level 40 tac escort) but I feel it's time to upgrade. So here I stand, hat in hand, soliciting donations! Do you have an STO account, and buttloads of EC/Fleet Ship Modules lying around? I've already bought one fleet mod, and will soon have cash for a second, but require 4 at 5 mil a pop. Can anyone help out?

I don't think I will be of any help to you, as I don't recall what STO is even short-hand for.

Try running Starbase 24, in that escort you should be able to score some purple modules and then you can sell them.  The tour the galaxy event can get you some EC as well, if you do it right.  Try the tips here.  There is also junk you can sell from the STFs and such.

Or play the market.  Most of the people there have no idea how to do that, so market PvP is light.

Sorry, I'm saving my EC for the reputation system so I don't have any to spare at the moment.  I'm assuming that you are trying to go the totally F2P route?

If you're up for a bit of a grind...

Most Red Samples sell in Memory Alpha for 10 for 10k....I put up 10 for 9k, and do pretty good business that way, just tooling around Delta Volanis.

Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit. The Defiant lookalike with 5 tac consoles and a Cmdr/LtCmdr/Ens tac boff setup. It's the only ship that will make my planned setup work.

I'm rolling a 2x Torpedo High Yield III / 2x Torpedo Spread II pure quantum torpedo setup. The 5 tac consoles will be filled with (at least) 28% quantum damage mods. Currently using 4, and loving it - having 5 will boost my firepower by another 28% which will be ssssssick.

Defiant torp boat?  Haven't seen one of those... sounds like fun.  Once I get everything for it, maybe it should match up with my Armitage torp boat.
