Be bold, pilot.
Time for Project Mayhem, methinks.

Quick, can anyone think of a way to spawn a bunch of sleepers and get them to chase you through a wormhole into highsec?

I could regale you with a tale of a horde of Aweso-fied Thin Clients, but I'd just start drinking again.

Claiming impotence because the world is "living, breathing & evolving" is bullshit.  The man has the keys to the castle as far as lore goes.

Yeah, I'm like "Wait, but it's your world...you're CCP". Makes me think storyline is down the priority ladder on the dev side, if they say they have work down from what they're given.

Content team is focused on Evelopedia; those hundreds and hundreds of entries didn't write themselves.

One can make a good argument that that time and focus might have perhaps been spent elsewhere, but that's how it is.

Some of them were not written by the Content team, but by players before they started locking stuff.

I think Mercury wrote the majority of them, and they're not devs but player volunteers.

Yes, I of course meant 'content team' in the collective sense.

Point being the decisions on where time and energy is spent are made by few people, and the rest are following orders.

I will believe it when I see it.

And right now I believe I will be seeing nothing of it.

When I look at what Inferno brought and what the winter expansion is promising to bring I see a lot of optimizations on existing game mechanics and client controls but no expanding into new game features. And it is a conscious choice by CCP too, indicated by Helmars rejection of "jesus-features" and Jon's happiness with having no Content Developers. Of course, this is CCPs interpretation of the players wishes after the Incarna scandal last year, and with little complains about this course from the playerbase, they must be doing something right.

Though, I expect subscription numbers are going down as lack of new content eventually makes people bored. They might not complain much about it, but they will leave anyhow.

Though they are not talking much about it openly, I also suspect CCP is spending quite a lot of man hour resources on the EVE-Dust integration. They are further expecting that EVE will see a greater influx of new players with the release of Dust so they are prepping the NPE and easing the GUI as much as possible.

Well, that certainly was a bunch of frustrating non-answers.

Seems I was right with my little experiment a few weeks ago. It's up to us to bleed knowledge restricted to lore, to the player community at large. CCP sure can't be arsed to do it.
