Hard to explain. :/

I would say both parts of the image do not fit together. Color wise especially, and add to that there is no visual transition (short and sharp or soft, whatever, there is none here) at all between both worlds. It could be 2 images with one in overlay over the other one. For me there is no coherence, be it in contrast or not.
