[Mission] Hunting Black Dog

Hunting Black Dog
Before we begin, I must make one thing perfectly clear: You were never here, and this meeting never took place.  You understand what I mean, yes?

We are in need of a pilot who can delivery a very sensitive cargo from this station to a nearby station, without attracting any undue attention.  You may have heard in the news or the local gossip channels that a Caldari regional director for mining operations was murdered yesterday by unknown assailants while touring an asteroid field in his personal shuttle.  That much is indeed true.  However, what has not been reported is that we have, in the last few hours, learned the identity of the assassin, a mercenary who goes by the name "Black Dog", and that he and his team have already begun to plan for an ongoing hit-and-run campaign designed to try and scare off Caldari corporations from any future mining activities in the region.

Of course, we cannot allow this kind of disruption to what has proven a highly lucrative endeavor - the Board and our shareholders simply will not tolerate any further dips in revenues.  To remedy this interruption, one of our sister companies that specializes in, shall we say, discrete solutions, has loaned us one of their most highly trained specialists to resolve this issue.  His name, as you might expect, is Mr. Smith.  His mission, in brief, is to liquidate Black Dog, along with any associates that may be operating with him at the time.

What we need from you, and need soon, is for you to transport Mr. Smith and his entourage to a station closer to the action - one with a hangar walkway that leads directly to an unmarked office.  Once you have dropped him off, your role in this action will be complete.

So, what is it going to be, pilot?  We need a yes or no right now if this operation is to stay on schedule.

Corporate Assassins
We all know the saying, “business is war.” Nowhere is this adage practiced more seriously than in the Caldari corporate world. The soldiers in this fight are typically thought of as the salesmen, managers, executives, and other boardroom warriors. However, from time to time a very special skill set is required to deal with an equally specific threat. For these situations, corporate assassins are sometimes required to resolve issues that cannot be otherwise remedied through conventional channels. In the most extreme cases, these highly-trained operatives, most of whom served particularly arduous and dangerous careers in the Caldari Special Forces and intelligence groups, are hired to carry out very selective missions with very limited goals. The missions they are paid, - highly paid at that - to undertake would rival any holovid espionage movie, though the consequences are, of course, much more serious. You don’t want to mess with these guys, and gals, as it is usually the last thing you’ll ever do.

Item: Corporate Assassin
An elite corporate assassin, whose services are available usually only to the wealthiest and most discreet clientele. His track record of killings reaches far beyond Caldari space, with known “hits” recorded as far away as the Amarr and Gallente homeworlds. His weapon of choice is a highly-modified laser sniper rifle that he has proven effective at ranges up to and including three kilometers. Of course, he also utilizes a variety of other weapons, particularly for close range work. These include untraceable poisons, obscure neurotoxins, and, a variety of small arms and knives all, again, highly customized. He has a unblemished kill record, with no known failures, over a period of at least the last 20 years. When ultra-wealthy corporate executives require a more direct response to individuals who threaten their company’s profitability, this is one of the few contract killers than can actually be trusted not only to accomplish the most difficult missions, but also to keep any such business dealings to himself. In short, he knows how to keep his mouth shut. These factors make him a highly desirable contractor for tasks requiring his unique skill set.

Delivering to you yet another very interesting Caldari storyline mission.
