Self-post deletion / report own post deletion
« on: 23 Jul 2010, 18:22 »

Just wondering why we can't delete (or report
An Error Has Occurred!
You can't report your own post to the moderator, that doesn't make sense!
) our own posts.

Would be nifty for hindsight moments?

You could always go back to your own post and delete the "offending" text, at least.

There is that, but there is also the position that you simply don't want to say anything further.

I'm curious as to why the option is gone completely, more than anything.

I believe you are able to delete your own post as long as it is the most recent post in a thread.

As for reporting your own post, I don't believe it's ever been possible to do that on this forum. Please send a PM to a mod or admit with links to the post(s) you want removed, and we will look into it.

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

I tried looking around for a deletion option (while the post was still the newest) and I could not find any.

In regards to PMing the mods, I would like to see the function in our own hands to save them the hassle of doing it themselves basically.

the only forum thing i know that allowed deleting posts by a user (when it was latest post in a thread), was vbulletin.

teh rest seem to require admin/mods to do things.
