It felt like unreality from the first 15 seconds because of the uniformly un-ugly participants, even if I had no cause to recognize them. The ad fails however (and remains an emotional video) because I paid absolutley zero attention to the clothing worn but was fixated on locked lips.

In my experience, average Joe's and Jane's don't randomly kiss strangers as often. That would have been interesting, but wouldn't have sucked me into the video as much. Doesn't trigger memories like someone earlier mentioned, etc.
