I've only been here a brief time and I've found the discussions and characters here all very interesting, but I've run into an issue.

I often browse the forums at work and tend to go 'back in time' by reading older threads, many of which I want to add my own thoughts, ideas, and questions to. This forum has had some very interesting conversations for me as an RPer.

At the same time, people may frown on me necroing a thread from 2008.

At the same time, if I start a new thread whenever I find something I'd be interested in discussing, I'm worried that I'd be seen as dominating the front page.

What to do?!  :s

If there's an existing thread, go ahead and bump it; there's nothing in the rules against threadcromancy.

If there isn't, create a new one.

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Thank you.  :)

I also would like to say I liked your use of a semicolon. It's an oft neglected bit of punctuation.

Necroing is a dark and dangerous art. But in the hands of someone who knows it well, it can be a powerful tool.

Personally I prefer people to resurrect old threads. That way if there's interesting stuff there, new members can see it too.  :D

Another vote for necro'ing here - it also helps other newbies, who may not be aware of the content of a thread, discover our past discussions.
One thing I do suggest, though - make some sort of a note or mention that you are necro'ing the thread in your post, to keep people from being confused when the conversation randomly resumes or changes sub-topics.

May appreciation for Lord Vaari be concentrated in one thread.  Bump.
