Despite their origins in the same solar system, the history between the Gallente Federation and the Caldari State has been laced with conflict since the early days. Initially unified in reaching to the stars through the development of stargate technology, relations rapidly degenerated after the Caldari struck out on their own. Now, separated by a closely-watched border zone, the focus of the two empires lies in staying a few steps ahead of each other.

Ah, this is what I like about the Gallente/Caldari conflict. Two enemies similarly matched, same level of technology, and the same threat level to each other.

Once again, all the decent info is in lvl1 missions...
