Your character tropes
« on: 27 Jul 2010, 16:09 »

What tropes describe your character? You're going to need to do some research on this, so go to http://tvtropes.org.

WARNING! You will be sucked in and lose several hours of your life. Proceed with caution!

After doing some digging, I've figured out a good deal about Nikita, although this isn't a perfect description of her, and I'd advise against using it to try to figure her out
She's a Chaotic Neutral anti-hero with a Dark and troubled past, but because of that past her Screws are definitely not in straight and Her personality wavers back and forth between The Broken Bird and The Ophelia.
At first glance she often comes off as the Manic Pixie Dream Girl but spending more time around her reveals how Dangerous she really is. Despite that, she could be a worse person and is Extrmely protective of those she cares about.
She's a Wrench Wench in her spare time and is Surprisingly well Armed and if you get into semantics, she, along with all players are Spaceship People.

TV Tropes takes away way more than several hours of your life. I once checked it to verify something, and when I looked up my daughter's boyfriend was asking for her hand in marriage. I thought she was still in preschool! :p

Heh. Actually had this idea before, just didn't get around to it.

(Dr.) Ze'ev Sinraali, Not That Kind of Doctor. Though he technically is that kind of doctor, or at least was before he became a capsuleer and got his license revoked. It's just that he's an infectious diseases specialist and epidemiologist, so don't expect him to perform Open Heart Dentistry for you.

Also a wannabe Technological Pacifist, but of course that's impossible as a capsuleer in New Eden EVE Online. This futility plus the apparent fact that capsuleers are all batshit insane pushes him well into Knight in Sour Armor territory.

At the end of the day, he'd rather not be a capsuleer, but all the reasons for leaving attempting to leave his previous work and the State are still operative.

Of course, one can go on and on, but those are the basics.

Cassidy Yates is, naturally, a Space Pirate and as Sani Sabik she would be a member of the Scary Amoral Religion where God is Evil.

Personality wise Cassidy is deifnately a Baroness with an Ice Queen facade. She really enjoys Dungeon Crawling (Exploration of low sec/0.0) between her space piracy and theological discussions. Cassidy also has a habit of Calling it Vera with the pattern of names she gives her ships.

Finally, Cassidy promotes the Captured by Cannibals trope in the Earth That Was galaxy of New Eden.

Best few hours of the past few hours I've had!

I'll play! I love me some tropes.

Cruci is a tomboy, has a bit of a problem that gave her some odd ideas, hooked up with some Rogue Drones who confirmed what she wanted was pretty awesome. She's now a devout follower of Master Kuvakei and although she may not have any actual spikes they are implied by her actions. She hard tries to stay calm and witty to keep up appearances, but sometimes this can go bad pretty quickly. She also listens to music that most people hate (and scores between 9 and 11 here).

Oh! Fun!

Laria is a Naive Newcomer whose parents have said "I have no son daughter". She's a bit of a Wrench Wench which is mostly a reaction to her Fashionista tendencies.
She's enthusiastic, jumps at the call but blinkered and overly-positive, verging on Stupid Good. To make matters worse, she's a Neat Freak with an obsessive need to classify, list and categorize.

This is a truly awesome site.
It already stole some hours of my life, and I wasn't aware of its existence until yesterday!

Before some bitter victim edited it out, I was the entry for Magnificent Bastard under Eve Online's category.

Iurnan has already turned into an Anti-villain with good publicity (though the publicity has only started to ratchet up). Since he is convinced that Hobbes was right, despite being Gallente by birth and citizenship, he now has designs on becoming The Man Behind The Man, necessitating a Chessmaster approach in his nascent plans to take over the world.

First post on the forums, also a 'dear god why!' to the life destroying properties of TVTropes.

Here goes...

Aelisha is somewhat of a Lawful Neutral Ms. Vice Guy, balancing a strong desire for knowledge and wealth with a deep belief that all are born equal.  This belief in equality begins and ends with birth, and all are held accountable by their actions, of which she is unreasonable disparaging of.  Being Intaki Reborn, she is an Older Immortal, though rarely does she ever let this show due to her reverence for preserving the 'life cycle' rebirth represents.

She comes across as the I Work Alone type, which is for the most part true when it comes to working with her capsuleer peers.  In keeping with her Reborn Heritage she is Wise Beyond Her Years, but her recent (albiet brief) alliance with the Capsuleer Nation Loyalists has led to a somewhat debilitating What Have I Done mental fixation.

And there we have Ael's brief and very bare-bones overview to date.
