Anyone know where a copy might be found? the official CCP PDF is no longer up.

There's an Evelopedia entry here that has links to the news articles and the broken link to where the PDF was.

It had a wealth of info on the rogue drones and where they came from.

things like this are important.

worry about things like this, where PF disappears into the void, or has multiple copies amongst players, without an original, so details have the potential to be fan-crafted into unrecognisability from the original.

I agree.  I went ahead and edited the wiki page Silver linked in the OP and updated the download link there to point to the file on eve-files.com since the original eve-aurora.com link was dead.

Wasn't there another core PF .pdf released around this time? Or am I thinking of the Economic Reports crap?

Probably.

That said, I thumbed through this before I went to bed last night and found it to be an interesting read. Wish we would get more stuff like this, but I get the feeling that this was from AURORA's heyday?

Nah, this was after AURORA died IIRC. It was just something they through together to tell us all about how the Drone regions were discovered. But it was sort of in that vein, except it reads like an infantile Hollywood marketer's conception of what a flashy government report should look like :P
