Ani (Minmatar)

Deadspace Complex descriptions:
--

This contested deadspace is being overrun by the Gist division of the Angel Cartel. The Minmatar Republic's Narcotics officers can is fighting the Angel Cartel, trying to uncover a major drug-cartel.

The Nefantar, better known as the Ammatar, built this complex originally but lost control of it when the Crystal Peace Accord was signed.

Today it is the target of many pilots running missions for agents that covet the artifacts left behind in the Great Retreat during the Minmatar rebellion.
--

The Gist Angels have overrun this contested deadspace.

This complex was a stronghold of the Nefantar of old (present day Ammatar) but lost control of it when but had to retreat from it as the Crystal Peace Accord was signed.

Today it is a sought after target for those hunting artifacts that the Nefantar had to leave behind as the Minmatar rebelled against the Amarr.

--

The Gist Angels have control of this old legendary stronghold of generals Harkin, Hieron and Hraldar of the Nefantar, now better known as the Ammatar.

The three generals defected from the Nefantar during the Minmatar rebellion and were instrumental in the success of the Minmatar victory in this region, although they all paid with their lives during the last days of the war.

The artifacts left behind by the Nefantar are coveted by agents of all origins, but running their missions risks the wrath of the Gist Angels who scavenge the torn ruins for materials for their own installations.

Of particular interest are the ruins of old Nefantar research facilities, where they once collected and analyzed ancient relics from around the constellation. Rumors abound that many of these relics are the remnants of a human civilization that inhabited the constellation long before the arrivals of the Minmatars.
--

These ruins are an old legacy of the Nefantar reign over Ani. Abandoned during the Rebellion and looted for years afterwards, not much remains of the once proud Nefantar stronghold.

It is currently being used as a gathering place by the infamous Minmatar crime syndicate, the Maru Rebels.
--

The Gist Angels have control of this contested Minmatar Army Complex.

This was one of the last Nefantar areas conquered in the Rebellion. A group of Nefantar fanatics, along with a few Amarr allies, hold up here for weeks after the bulk of the Nefantar tribe fled the constellation. Only a major invasion supported by Gallentean expeditionary forces sufficed to dislodge them.

The complex was built to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the Amarrian invastion and conquest of Minmatar space. In its inner most sanctum lies Mount Triumph, a hellish stalagmite carved out and converted into a massive cathedral.

It was later garrisoned by the Krusual tribe, but they abandoned decades ago. It lay in ruins until the Gist Angels came along and
claimed it as their own.

The Republic is currently attempting to dislodge the Angels from the complex and take it over once again. It is proving to be almost as difficult as it once was. The constant harassment on Republic forces by paramilitaries and saboteurs sent by the Amarrians and the Ammatars is not helping.

Pilots in search of money commonly run missions for agents here, searching for the artifacts that the Nefantar left behind. But the Gist Angel Cartel jealously scavenge the torn ruins and will oust those that try to impose.

Descriptions for the agent locations of the Ani constellation (Minmatar)

The Reactor Factory

The Nefantar tribe channelled great amount of wealth exploited by the Amarrians into the Ani constellation. Though most of it was burnt to finance the extravagant hedonism of the Nefantar elite, some if it was actually put to good use. The reactor factory is an example of the latter, its construction was the first space-based industrial complex operated by the Minmatars and heralded the renewal of the space age in Minmatar space. In hindsight, this was the first stone in the path to the Minmatar Rebellion.
--

The Glass Edge

Nakugard is the entry system into the Ani constellation, ancestral home of the Nefantar tribe. The constellation enjoyed great prominence while the Minmatars suffered under the Amarrian yoke. The Glass Edge served once as a surveillance outpost for the Nefantars, but today it serves as a reminder of what the Nefantars stood for. The tribe used its privileged position to gather great wealth here, sometimes by force, but more often through guile and veiled threats. That is the glass edge, it may not be hard or obvious, but it will make you bleed all the same.
--

The Crystal Dust Compound

This is a secluded factory site operated by some Thukker tribe nomads. It is used to manufacture various illicit substances, most notable the brand new Crystal Dust neural boosters. The Thukker tribe have used the Ani constellation for several decades as a base for illegal operations and to hide themselves or valuable stash in. They’re not too happy with the increasing Republic authority in the constellation, but are hoping that by laying low will keep them under the Republic’s radar.

Of more immediate concern for the Thukker nomads here is the Angel cartel, which has earmarked the Ani constellation as an area ideal for organized crime. Even if the cartel and the Thukker tribe are nominally allies when it comes to dealing with the empires, the cartel is renown to tolerate no competition in those areas they consider their own.
--

Margin of Error

With the Republic’s incursion into the constellation, the many criminals found there have been forced away from Republic areas and into more remote ones. The Margin of Error is one such a place where the criminal elements like to hang out these days.

The name of the place came about a few decades ago when it was the stage of a famous showdown between two Sebiestor hackers. The two rivals wanted to settle once and for all which was the more skilled. It ended in tragedy though, as a particularly strong neuro-strike created a violent backlash, frying the brains of the two contestants. One was killed instantly while the other suffered so severe brain damage that he was reduced to a vegetated state for the rest of his life.
--

Dream Port

The Republic has colonized Inder VIII and is encouraging its citizens to settle here, offering free housing and substantial monetary aid. Despite the harsh environment and the difficulties of supplying the colonies due to lack of a space station in orbit, millions have already taken up that offer. Dream Port acts as the link to the planet until the time a space station can be constructed.
--

Rich Mans Run

The Sisters of EVE station nearby is one of the few former Nefantar space stations still remaining in the constellation. During the Amarr occupation their Nefantar
collaborators used this station as a vault where they hoarded vast amounts of items looted throughout Minmatar space. This was a popular pit-stop for the freighter pilots ferrying the loot to the station, hence the name Rich Man’s Run.
--

Assassin's Overhang

Early in the Minmatar Rebellion, when the Amarrians and their Minmatar collaborators were still confident of succeeding in squashing it, the rebels managed to
strike a massive blow to the Nefantars. Using a double-agent, they lured the military leader of the Nefantar tribe to this remote location and assassinated him. Even if the Empire managed to hunt down the assassins and kill them, the moral blow dealt that day reverberated throughout Minmatar space, spurring the freedom fighters on.

The site is little known today except to historians. In light of its past it’s funny that shady Amarrian agents are using the location today to further the Empire’s cause within Minmatar space.
--

Insurgent Encampment

The Amarr Empire calls them rebels, in the eyes of most Minmatars they’re freedom fighters. Yet the strange assortment of pilots that frequent the Uriok system can hardly be classified as either. Most are rebels without a cause, fighting for twisted honor or scraps of money, rather than freedom or other high ideals. Still, some few cling to what small vestige of insurgence that still exists. This is their camp.
--

Culture Recess

The Amarrians poured lot of wealth into the Ani constellation to keep the Nefantars happy. While most of that wealth was burned in heady narcissism, some was used to try and build an independent infrastructure for the Nefantars. A few of these ventures turned out to be quite successful, but most were doomed to fail from the start. The Amarr-Minmatar Cultural Center, constructed on this site, was such a project. Intended to amalgamate the cultures of the two races, the project never really took off. It was quickly abandoned, to much mockery from the rest of the Minmatars. Culture Recess is one of the mock names given to the facility by the Minmatars.
--

Machine Head

When scientists first started serious research on anti-matter there was a public outcry over the supposed dangers this entailed. Thus, the first anti-matter laboratories were forced out into space. One such laboratory was constructed here in the Hjoramold system during the Amarr occupation, headed by the renown scientist Dr. Hydar Perdikan.

The laboratory was at the forefront of anti-matter research for decades, but was closed shortly before the Minmatar Rebellion. Dr. Perdikan refused to leave his lab though and lived there for the rest of his days. He started to dabble in cybernetics and implants and used many of his inventions on himself. He survived the rebellion and was left alone by the Minmatars, as he was considered harmless. Some called him Dr. Hermit, but he was better known as Machine Head. He has not been heard from in almost 50 years, his remains probably still lie in the ruins of his old lab.
--

Lord Bastion

The Amarr governor in the Ani constellation held only nominal powers due to the favored status the Nefantars enjoyed. Yet when the rebellion broke out he became a very important figure in the constellation, rallying the local forces to fight the surging rebels. The governor, Lord Basad, constructed a formidable space fortress orbiting Hjoramald XII, ancestral home of the Nefantars. The fortress soon became known as the Lord Bastion and held out for two months before finally succumbing to the rebels. Many Minmatars want this relic of Amarr domination torn to pieces, but the majority regards the bastion’s ruins as a symbol of the Minmatar spirit and resolve.
--

The Carnival

At the height of Amarr Empire the Ani constellation was a busy place, bustling with activity. The Carnival was once the main trade hub between the Nefantars, the rest of Minmatar space and the Amarr Empire. After the Rebellion the Carnival quickly fell on hard times. While it has never been totally abandoned only thugs and black marketers remain.
--

The Hyperbole Nexus

Before the technology for employing crystals for faster-than-light communications was invented various other techniques were used to bolster celestial communications. Half a millennia ago the Amarrians discovered a space phenomenon, places in space that seemed to echo with other similar places elsewhere. They learnt to tap into these echoes, greatly boosting the strength of communication devices. Though these places are today largely neglected, there are some people that feel a connection them. The Hyperbole Nexus is one such a place.
--

Sanctum Psychosis

Long before the Rebellion, while the constellation was still home of the Nefantar tribe, the Lanngisi system was the main location for those with mental illnesses. Various institutions operated in the system, each preaching its own unique way of treating patients. In time, as the Amarrians had to deal with more and more Minmatar political radicals and dissidents, they started to send those they viewed as a threat to the social stability to Lanngisi for ‘treatment’. After the Rebellion the institutions were promptly closed. A decade ago the Sisters of EVE refurbished one of the old institutional stations as a local aid station for refugees.

Sanctum Psychosis was initially part spa, part mental hospital for those suffering serious psychosis and delusions. Later on, with all the seriously violent patients referred to the place, it become nothing more than a prison for those deemed too dangerous to be on the loose.
--

The Asylum

Before the Minmatar rebellion, this facility, among others, served as a treatment center for mentally ill individuals. The Asylum was formally named Compulsions, Obsessions and Mania Asylum, or COMA in short. It used highly questionable methods to treat those suffering from mental illnesses. Notably the neuro-shock therapy coupled with a dream-induced state, doctors at the facility claimed they were able to ‘transfer the conscious to a new level’.

In recent years, the facility has served as a refugee center. Conflict in nearby systems has been on the rise and the Sisters of Eve have taken the role of aiding those in need.
--

Sister camp

The Sisters of EVE, always ready to aid those in need, have set up a relief camp here. The constant skirmishes around the system leave many wounded and hurt. Many more have also lost all their assets after accidentally getting in the cross-fire or being beset by on of the many warring factions. Here, the Sisters are giving first aid to those that need it. They are also monitoring the conflict, checking for any signs of inhuman treatment or war crimes taking place. But as everywhere else, they strife to maintain their neutrality.
--

Reclamation Wreck

Once the Minmatar Rebellion spread into the Ani constellation the Nefantars pleaded with the Amarrians for help. The Amarrians responded by sending their largest battleship to the constellation, the Reclamation. At first, the huge ship along with its escort of support ships, swept through the constellation, destroying several squadrons of rebel forces. But only a week after its arrival, it was infiltrated by a Sebiestor saboteur and demolished. The destruction of the Reclamation signaled the end of the Amarrian initiative to eradicate the rebels in one blow, forcing them onto the defense.
--

The Thin Red Line

The Republic considers the conflict in the Traun system a test of whether its resettlement effort is to have any chance of succeeding or not. If the Republic forces are unable to dislodge the pirate factions from Traun, the Parliament is liable to pull the plug for the whole project, with all the political backlash that would entail. The enemies of the Republic know this and are pouring everything they have into Traun.

Otekkelen (Caldari)

NOH Recruitment Center

The Nugoeihuvi mega-corporation, better known simply as NOH, is actively seeking pilots to participate in the planed settlement of the Okkelen constellation. It's using this old storage silo as a center for its recruitment efforts. Representatives of NOH are waiting here to entice pilots into lending a helping hand in this ongoing struggle against evil-doers and the elements alike.
--

Grand Crag Watch

Lai Dai constructed a surveillance outpost here after they lost control of their nearby mining facility. The remotely-controlled surveillance equipment keeps the tabs on the struggle taking place for control of the contested mining facility. Recently the Grand Crag Watch has become a favored meeting place of pilots with Lai Dai sympathies.
--

Station Foundation Site

The officials supervising NOH's colonizing efforts have ear-marked this location as an ideal place for a space station. With no station yet in the Airmia system, the
construction of a station here will ensure NOH's dominance of the system.
--

Settlers Waystation

Chaos reigns in Okkelen, with Caldari settlers at odds with entrenched bandits and each other alike. Chaotic environment creates opportunities and some will strike gold while others are ruined through bad luck. Midoki Urigamu hopes to be one of the former as he aspires to construct a rest stop in space for weary pilots.
--

Frontier Stockade

The two mega-corporations charged by the State with the task of settling Okkelen, NOH and Lai Dai, have each recently constructed a station here in the Sakkikainen system. These stations are intended to act as the base from which the Caldari State intends to push the frontier back and claim the constellation for itself. As with all frontier settlements there's plenty of work to be found for enterprising pilots.
--

Cactus Mill Lookout

An old ore refinery, the Cactus Mill is being refurbished with the latest surveillance gadgets courtesy of the State and Region Bank. Great wealth can be found in the nearby station vault and the bank is anxious to protect it. It's a race against time as bandits will inevitably fall on the vault sooner rather than later. The help of independent pilots is greatly appreciated.
--

Abandoned Astro Farm

The Astro Farm is one of the myriad of businesses that fell into ruins when the Okkelen Rush faded as fast as it emerged. Originally built to grow synthesized
food, it later tried unsuccessfully to restructure itself as a reclusive spa for wealthy tourist. Today its only visitors are bandits converging before embarking on some nefarious activities.
--

Bandit Hideout

For years bandits used the Okkelen constellation as a base of operation against nearby Caldari-controlled areas. Now the Caldari corporations have them on the run, but the bandits aren't willing to roll over and play dead just yet. This is still their home turf and their bite still packs a lot of hurt.
--

Sentinel Rise

One minute warning of impending doom is often all it takes to survive out here. And only those paranoid enough survive in a hostile territory like the Friggi system is. With scores of bandits roaming around searching for easy preys it pays to be careful. The good folk of the nearby Lai Dai station had the good sense to install sensor equipment here to warn against any incoming threat.
--

Devils Dig Site

The Devil's Dig Site is single-handedly responsible for the great hubbub in the Okkelen constellation these last few years. If it wasn't for the discovery of artifacts from an ancient human civilization dating back to when the EVE Gate was still open, the constellation would still be a desolate, dreary place totally ignored by all but a few bandits.
--

The Diamond Ace Den

The Caldari love nothing better than to gamble. Whether the bet is on the upcoming Splinterz tournament or the survival rate of the latest green newbie miner that passed through; there is always someone willing to take you on here at the Diamond Ace Den.
--

Hangmans Hill

Harsh environment breeds harsh people and in a place where the most popular hobby is murder and mayhem, dying of old age is a feat few accomplish. In a place like Ihakana everything and everyone is somewhat good, somewhat bad and very, very ugly.
--

Shady Acres

Some genius working for the State had the idea that the best way to settle Okkelen was by handing out settling permits free of charge. The idea was for these hardy settlers to take care of business themselves, persuading the local banditos to leave the territories that has been theirs for years. Amazingly enough, there are individuals willing to take this on.
--

Rush Town Ruins

Remnants of the once-prosperous mining center called Rush Town. The town acted as a hub for the hectic mining activity during the Okkelen Rush 70 years ago. While the inhabitants have long since fled for greener pastures this rusty ghost town is not quite dead yet.
--

Foul Creek Ranch

This debris-cluttered field is yet another example of dashed dreams and dead hopes that litter the Okkelen constellation. While few would take succour from so desolate surroundings one can only hope that the souls huddled here at least take past failures to heart and strive to do better. Like survive.
--

Red Rock Outpost

Once the jewel of the Otomainen system, Red Rock Outpost once had the greatest concentration of Arkonor ore known to man. Yet it took the ruthlessly efficient Caldari mere 10 years to strip mine it all. Some small nuggets may remain, but far from enough to warrant any kind of corporate-scale mining.
--

The refinery in this deadspace area wasbuilt and operated by the Lai Dai corporation. Guristas have overrun the facilities and established control with the blessing of inidentified high ranking Caldari officials.

Lai Dai have officially backed out, but Propel Dynamics and Nugoeihuvi have both sent teams in order to try and capture the complex.
--

Built by the Caldari State originally, this asteroid belt was taken over by the Kazka Bandits after Caldari forces abandoned the area. Numerous attempts by local militia to retake the installation have failed, and as of yet the State has had very little interest in dispersing the pirate presence in the area.

The Kazka have allied themselves with the much more powerful Guristas pirates and are acting under their protection. The Guristas have been encouraging the Kazka bandits to raid the nearby Caldari settlements as much as possible, in an effort to stem the tide of colonists streaming to the system. With this, the Guristas hope to use the Kazka bandits to shield themselves from any Caldari harassment.

The Kazka bandits have been remarkably successful, to the point where the Guristas have even been considering taking the Kazka stronghold over themselves. But the bandits have entrenched themselves so thoroughly that the Guristas command has never dared attempt it. And now that the Caldari State has arrived full force in the constellation, that dream is likely dead forever.
--

This mineral-rich patch of space is officially claimed by the Caldari, but their sovereignty is contested.

The Pith Guristas moved in a few months ago and have since then staved off claims to the area, something which the Caldari do not complain about because their plans for the place haven't yet been put in motion. The pirates have installed a low-power security gate that restricts certain larger classes of vessel from entering.
--

This Asteroid Outpost was built by some forgotten Caldari mining corporations during the height of the Okkelen Rush some 75 years ago. It fell into ruins shortly after the Rush subsided.

The Guristas pirates claimed the outpost for themselves a few years ago. They built a control tower to revive the crumbling Caldari mining facilities and have since expanded the outpost considerably, even starting the mining operation once more.

The base is though mainly used as an advanced scouting post by the Guristas, acting as a gathering point and supply station for the many Guristas pirates in the Okkelen constellation. The Caldari Navy has earmarked the outpost as a key target in the State's resettlement efforts. While it remains in the hands of the Guristas it will remain very difficult to dislodge them from the constellation.

The Navy is still far from being in a position to launch a major offensive into the outpost, but it hopes that the continued nuisance of independent pilots might soften the pirates up enough for that to become a possibility in the near future.

Komni History (1 of 2)

The Komni corporation was founded by the multi-billionaire Kaimo Nayen, who had garnered his fortune by building up a real estate empire on Caldari Prime. The purpose of the company was to give his firstborn son, Shojin Nayen, a chance to receive experience as a CEO, before the time came for him to take over the reigns of his father's mega-corporation. Komni dealt in simple garbage hauling tasks, employing a few dozen washed up pilots to do the sordid task of transporting unrecyclable material to remote locations within the Caldari solarsystems.

Unfortunately Shojin had been inexcusably spoiled as a child, and lacked all of his fathers virtues which had helped him become so successful. The Komni corporation quickly began losing money, bad deals were made and the daily affairs were generally ignored by Shojin who spent most of his time dating beautiful women and staying out late at night at popular Caldari bars. But when his father learned of the state of things, and that the Komni corporation had slid to the verge of bankruptcy, he became furious. He demanded that his son straighten things out, or all of his shares within the mega-real-estate corporation would go to his other son, Akimo.

Shojin became terrified at these grim tidings, and was especially worried that his father would also strip him of access to his bank account which he so much relied on to live his extravagant lifestyle. So he turned to the underworld for aid, secretly contacting an agent employed by the Guristas Pirates, Drako Minai, to manage his corporate affairs. At first this worked out perfectly, the Komni stock rose considerably and money came streaming in. Better pilots and maintainance on the old company haulers were finally affordable, without any intervention from Kaimo.

Komni History (2 of 2)

But soon the old man became suspicious. He couldn't believe the incredibly good fortune his son was suddenly blessed with was simply due to hard, honest work. So he hired an expensive private detective, Asamura, to investigate the internal affairs within Komni, to better understand exactly what had changed since disaster loomed over the corporation. Asamura, being an ex-elite agent within the Caldari State special forces, quickly discovered who was behind this turn of events; that the Guristas had been using the garbage haulers as a means to smuggle drugs and other illegal goods into Caldari high secure space for enormous profits. Due to Kaimos's close relationship with many members of the Caldari State government, the garbage haulers received far less attention from local security forces than other, more suspcious craft.

When Kaimo heard of these tidings he became furious. If the news surfaced about Komni being under the influence of the Guristas Pirates and committing illegal acts within the Caldari State borders, his status and even his life might be forfeit. He immediately confronted his son and ordered him to cut all ties with the Guristas, as well as letting him know that he had just blown any chance he had of acquiring the family fortune. But there was one single flaw in Kaimos plan, and that was his underestimating of his sons determination to remain wealthy. Threatening to expose Komnis illegal dealings to the media, Shojin played the only card he had. Either his father leave his corporation alone and give it a large credit "donation", or both of their reputations would be ruined. In return Shojin would severe all ties with the Guristas. His father reluctantly accepted his sons terms.

Shortly thereafter Shojin held a secret meeting with his contact within the Guristas. He demanded that Drako stop the illegal activity the Guristas had been conducting behind his back, and remove all ties they had with Komni. But the wry, finely dressed agent simply laughed, they had played Shojin for a fool all along. While Shojin had been endulging himself with the finer things in life, Drako had been busily hoarding the company stocks in preparation for a takeover. He knew about Asamuras involvement, and expected this very conversation. As Shojin looked in horror, two burly, brown-skinned men entered the room where he stood next to Drako. With a simple move of his right hand, Drako ordered his guards to execute his unfortunate client. And as he left the room, followed by high-pitched screams which were quickly silenced, the smiling, middle-aged man dressed in a shiny black tuxedo thought of how happy he was that the Komni stock had risen drastically upon the news of the takeover. No longer would he need to answer to his less-than-trustworthy superiors within the Guristas, from this day forward he would own his very own branch within the vast Caldari criminal network.

contributed by Jasuur Ibn'alnil

Thought i'd have a go at sticking some of the Algintal COSMOS stuff in as i've been doing the Thukker missions lately, it's by no means a complete list. Let me know if i've presented it wrong. -

ALGINTAL CONSTELLATION (GALLENTE)

MUNICIPAL JUNKYARD

When the tourist industry in Algintal was in its infancy the local authorities became concerned that the abundance of space debris left by earlier colonists would hurt tourism in the long run. They carried out a hasty cleanup operation of the constellation, collecting most of the debris and dumping it in a remote place in the Deltole system. The intent was always to finish the job later and incinerate the heap, but the authorities have never gotten around to it and the Municipal Junkyard has been left alone for decades now. It is thus the perfect place for smugglers running illegal operations such as forgery.

LATENT TRANSMITTER

The Thukker tribe smugglers have acquired top secret technology from Egonics Inc. and are using it for their own nefarious purposes. The technology allows the transmission of latent messages over long distances. The smugglers have erected a huge transmitter station that is capable of reaching the whole constellation with its subliminal messages. Some are wondering why the local authorities aren't doing anything to stop this depravity, but they never seem to wonder for long…

CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION

This is the headquarters of the Wiyrkomi Corporation in Algintal. It is here that Veko Tallaja, the operation manager for the Wiyrkomi Project in Sinq Liason, resides. Gallente Temko mercenaries closely guard the perimeter of the complex, authorized to strike at any trespassers. Security here is super tight after a spat of high profile incidents involving violent protesters made headlines in inter-galactic media. Wiyrkomi desperately want to avoid any more bad publicity, as their multi-trillion ISK deal with the Federation hangs on a razor thin edge.

SURVEY STATION

The Survey Station serves as a Wiyrkomi outpost for its engineers and surveyors planning the development of their power station in Colelie. Ever since the Wiyrkomi Corporation bought the lease on the Azure Canyon the populace here has been growing. But the inability to drive the Serpentis out of the Azure Canyon deadspace pocket as well as constant harrassment by protesters has seriously lowered morale within the complex. Rumor has it that Caldari agents are offering large sums of credits to mercenaries willing to put their lives on the line in defense of the Wiyrkomi project.

ARID PARK

Arid Park was originally intended as a piece of corporate art displaying Quafe's cultural superiority over its competitors and its general gravitas within the Gallente zeitgeist. After an intensive anti-commercialist public smear campaign by the FON, however, its construction was abandoned. Now, all that remains is a half-constructed skeleton of ugly rocks, something FON are quick to cite as metaphoric for the ugliness of the corporate soul. Opting to keep things in their unfinished state, they have turned the place into a broadcasting and information center.

NATURA SEMINARY

Built on the ruins of an abandoned asteroid colony, the Natura Seminary is the place where prospective anti-corporate activists are brought into the Friends of Nature's fold. Lessons on corporate greed, the inhumanity of the capitalist system and ways to bring down the Man, along with tasty syntho-organic snacks. What more could you want?

DEADSPACE COMPLEXES

CONTESTED GALLENTE SKELETON COMET

The Skeleton Comet, a comet that was picked clean during the early stages of Federation space exploration, is one of the many landmarks in Algintal that makes the constellation known as one of the most beautiful places in the whole Federation. While not as spectacular as its more renown cousin the Canyon of Rust the Skeleton Comet still attracted tourists from all over. But in recent years the smuggling cartels operating in the constellation have made the place their own. Driven from their other pirate havens by activists or, more recently, foreign corporations, they have convened here to make the Skeleton Comet their last great bastion of smuggling activity in the constellation. Needless to say, the only tourists now visiting the place are those in search of smuggled goods or illicit affairs.

Yet the Skeleton Comet holds one little-known secret unlocked by those early miners. While drilling in a remote corner of the complex they found ancient relics and definite signs that humans had tread here before, thousands of years earlier. Only recently these startling evidence were analyzed further to collaborate what had until then only existed as rumors whispered in shady mining bars around the Federation. A fascinating story of early settlers in the world of EVE was uncovered, a nation calling itself Yan Jung.

But the intrusion of the smuggling cartels halted further arcaeological diggings, though it is said that the smugglers themselves have been poking around in the old ruins. Some say fabulous discoveries have been made, but the smugglers keep silent on the subject.

CONTESTED AZURE CHASM

This deadspace area contains the famous Colelie natural phenomenon, a giant canyon carved into a massive rare type of asteroid which locals refer to as the Azure Stone. Over the last decade it has attracted millions of visitors annually, not only nature lovers interested in the Azure Stone but also those galactic citizens who wish to relax in one of the massive luxury resorts built by Impetus in the tourist quarter.

A few months ago ownership of the Azure Canyon deadspace pocket was formally taken up by the Wiyrkomi Corporation, after they had paid an enormous sum of credits for it in addition to signing a deal with Federation authorities which forces them to share a large portion of their earnings and resources acquired from the region every month. However Wiyrkomi have yet to start constructing their massive power stations, as a large group of Serpentis as well as Gallente protesters have taken up residence within the Azure Canyon and refuse to leave. Federation authorities have so far ignored Wiyrkomi requests for assistance.

CANYON OF RUST

Renown for its natural beauty, the Canyon of Rust has vast amounts of untapped resources. The Federation corporations have been afraid to exploit due to the public outcry this would inevitably entail.
