A per news article here: http://www.eveonline.com/mb2/news.asp?nid=3836

Sounds like a good place for the CEP to have a bit of a power struggle with the Provists.

The Gallente respond: http://www.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single&nid=3838&tid=5

The CEP approves more restrictions and an Audit but doesn't revoke sov for Quafe: http://www.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single&nid=3840&tid=6

Kind of risky move considering all the Megacorp station within Fed space  :s

Well, I don't read it as them planning on confiscating stations or anything. I think it is more that Quafe is currently on the same legal footing as any of the Megacorps (aside from lacking a seat on the CEP). This would revoke some of the Nation-like rights that Megas enjoy in the State?

As I've mentioned I found it interesting because it opens up a lot of RP that we didn't necessarily know was there before. The mention of "domestic corporate sovereignty" means you could have a Caldari citizen born under Quafe the same way they are born under KK.

Hopefully Quafe sticks around so that RP is still available there for later date.

And now a response from the Fed. One that would seem to encourage Quafe's domestic business, and business in the Republic, rather than a move to defend their status in the State.

If I were a Quafe exec right now, I'd be swearing at the Feds.   They're gearing up for an audit by the Provists to prove that they're not selling the State out, and some government officials in the Fed are jumping up and down yelling how much they love them and how they'll loosen the restrictions on them in the Fed.

I'd also be wondering why there hasn't been a supportive statement from any Amarr muckety-mucks.

Supportive of the State or Quafe?

Likely the "State," since it is largely a Provist attempt to reduce Gallente influence on internal State policy, supported by the Patriot political faction.

And you should be supportive of anyone who owes you that much money.

Supportive of Quafe.  Remember the Girani-Fa Incident?
