[News Report]-Mekhios Explosion delays construction of spaceport

DISTRICT FOUR, Azad

Last night an apparent malfunction caused an explosion over the city of Azad onboard the under construction tether anchor orbital.  The orbital, positioned over the starport being built in Azad was staffed only by the 1900 slaves who resided there.  The explosion could be seen on the ground, no debris made it through the atmosphere.

Many have taken this as a sign that the further industrialization of the surface, and the offworld influence of Lady Azad are against the will of god.  More still however are hopeful citing the new jobs and sources of income and tourism the spaceport will bring. 

Lady Azad could not be reached for comment but District governor Kailn was quoted as saying, "The construction will resume once the debris is cleared.  The contractors in charge of the construction have been fired and a new contract holder will be found.   ...no, we do not know the cause of the explosion.   Please people, go with god, Lady Azad assures me that this delay is minor."

Construction on the ground did not cease.  Total cost of the damages is estimated to be nearly 26 billion.
