Steam and Xbox, not sure if there is a PS3 release, but you should try 'Monaco' which has gotten amazing and fantastic reviews.

you could try DC Universe online.

it's not great but it's for both the PS3 and PC.  (separate servers unfortunately.)

I dont own a PS3, but I would suggest that you would look into Board Games.

There has been a real renaissance in board games in the past few years, and nothing beats actual human interaction.

My standing favorite multiplayer (kinda) PS3 game is Dark Souls, the only game I've ever actually earned the platinum trophy on. You may be able to find it on sale or as a used game.

The multiplayer integrates with the single-player in the neatest ways, beneficial or baneful. Naturally, I tend to play a Darkwraith villain, showing up as a lone assassin to kill other player characters and steal their Humanity. Over time, I've come to specialize more and more in alpha-striking party leaders instead of trying for something that resembles a fair fight. People tend to get so complacent when they've got two PC escorts aiding them through a level....
