Sounds more like a "I know better than a guy that isnt even there, it shall be my moment of glory instead" ego trip to me.

You were out of town and someone changed the ship line-up on you?

Are you sure they weren't dicking you over on purpose?

No it wasn't any interpersonal thing like that as far as I know.  I don't want to fling internal mud here. There was a difference of opinion, my setups weren't used.  Based on what i saw i think my loadouts would have done very well vs domi team and sensor damps, but such is life.

Im just disapointed that real life got in the way with unavoidable timing and that I was out and unable to be there in person to get to the bottom of things.  I put entirely too much of my free time and mental energy (and plex) into a waste of time.  Such is life!

Hoping for a Rote vs. 4th District matchup.  There's some good history there between us.

Next weekend.

Morwen's Law:
1) The number of capsuleer women who are bisexual is greater than the number who are lesbian.
2) Most of the former group appear lesbian due to a lack of suitable male partners to go around.
3) The lack of suitable male partners can be summed up in most cases thusly: interested, worth the air they breathe, available; pick two.

Is it too soon to ask for the awesome setups ?

To be perfectly honest, I would love nothing more than 4th crawling back up through the elimination bracket to meet Rote in the finals for a rematch. :D

I don't know about awesome because the dogs of war are fickle, but high dps / high number of targets rush teams can do very well against static domi teams, especially if they are packing anti-drone smartbombs and MJD to close distance immediately.   Rush teams are less worried about sensor damps because you are working at close range anyway.   Idea is to run in as fast as possible, blap the high value enemies, and that removes the bulk of their dps.

I'm generally against low ship count/high value/ 'intricate' setups that rely on a perfect coordination of ewar / kiting / etc because unless you practice the hell out of them they can instantly fall apart as soon as something goes wrong or a lynchpin ship dies.   Also if the enemy only has a few super ships to fight against they only have a few ships to focus all of their ewar and other nasties on.   In general more ships = more slots and teams that field the full 12 do very well.

I could be totally wrong and I need to look at the previous matches though.  Also I wasn't there, so my opinion counts for shit at the moment.

You may have something. One of the closest matches on Sunday involved a Vindicator that simply bullied into a static Domi blob and started firing on everything; unfortunately, poor target calling doomed that attempt as well.

Double hyperions with smartbombs, mjd, high blaster damage and 6 t1 blap cruisers doing about 450-500 dps each, with logi and token ewar frigs.   sentries would have murdered a few of my ships on the charge, but there's no way to stop 8 fast moving dps ships fast enough before they get inside and start eating your lunch.  large smartbombs on the domis to clear drones while everyone else zergs the primary.  Its enough dps that if you get enough of them to the target you can push through a solo logi worth of reps in no time.

But no plan survives contact with the enemy! I like redundant,"dumb" teams that don't rely on single point failures.

Sounds good but only danger I see is cap warfare on the side of the domis. Might weight pretty hard on your surviving DPS blasterboats. Maybe better to have cap boosters ready. Or cap batteries ... ? Mhhh

I wonder how well a triple Vargur + support team would stand up against the Domi setups.
