Starkmanir tribe background
« on: 11 May 2010, 20:33 »

I wrote a blog post (including Google Doc) collecting all the info I could find on the Starkmanir tribe background. Any additions or corrections? :)

Actually according to some information the Brutor and the Starkmanir were part of the same tribe at some point as I recall. Both of them living at an archipelago and parting ways at some point in history.

Also whatever they Sisters of EVE tell you is a lie, the Starkmanir have been exterminated, what you now have is Nefantar slave experiment posing as the Starkmanir tribe that is being used as a way to clean the Ammatar Mandate of those that have been found wanting in their Faith and to send agents into the Republic under the guise of fear of prosecution by Amarrians.

Two things.
How would SoE get hands on original Starkmanir DNA?
Ammatar failed to keep the Minmatar in check and they revolted, only way to get back into the graces of God is to get them back into the Fold they would do anything to get to Heaven.

How would SoE get hands on original Starkmanir DNA?

That's a trivial issue.

I mean surely it's clear there are many, many ways in which SoE could have obtained a sample?

From the top of my head:

1) Isolated survivors. (Nothing in PF says there are none at all.)
2) Expedition to Starkman Prime to sample burials.
3) Minmatar Republic handed over samples obtained from Matar itself.
4) Covert penetration of Amarr slave records containing genetic data.
5) ... take you pick of the many other ways that can be imagined.

Lallara, do you have any evidence for that? Because I was hoping to keep the thread focused on what we do know rather than wild speculation mixing IC and OOC quite so freely.

Also if you'll read the chronicle The Outcast then you'll see that people continue to live on Starkman Prime. And the actual identification was made by Eifyr, a Minmatar corp, so I certainly think they'd have access to historical data.

I put all that data into the Starkmanir article on EVElopedia. I may tackle some other tribe next.
