Were they -10s? If they were, then yeah, it should cause a CONCORD response.

I remember in AURORA events, you could simply attack the actors. They were flagged to ignore CONCORD rules completely. Dunno if they changed that (it'd make some sense, and might clear up some of the "old problems" that events used to have), but if they did it does make it even harder for pirate loyalists to actually be loyal.

I had thought about it, and I was wondering about it.

However as far as I know no one attempted to defend the Sansha, so it wasn't seen if the area was nullified of normal CONCORD rules.

I hope they have addressed that, if they expect pirate loyalists who aren't -sec status to help in high security.

Only if they activated that command. AURORA folks were not set to such a state by default.

I'm also totally jealous Soter got in CCP-made DED reports.

That will be my life goal in EVE. Then I will die a happy man knowing my significance as an internet spaceship legend.

In response to a direct query I was informed by a senior events manager that all event actors were set to be vulnerable by default (if only by default policy). It was apparently the position for at least the last year of AURORA's life (and kept very, very quiet for obvious reasons - bizarre to my mind but there you go). Obviously, it can be varied as you indicate and may well be in these dev run events.

There's an interesting aspect to these new events in that the 'secret sharing' aspect of the vol events was cited as one of the things no longer supportable in a bigger EVE.

Yet, we've seen exactly that take place.

For myself, I don't see how it can be otherwise if you're to run sophisticated RP events so I dont criticise it for a second.

I actually celebrate that now, after things have cooled down from the rather fevered atmosphere in which AURORA closed, calm reflection and confidence have combined to try this stuff anew.

lolz seri.

One thing about the "sekrits". CCP didn't make those documents valuable. Me fondling them off in a corner of a room somewhere, sharing them only with trusted individuals, wasn't the true power behind them. It was designed to be shared with everyone. When I came to that realization, I shared them. =p

The evemail from the source of the documents said to spread the truth, and indeed, what is the purpose of the Accord if not to do that?

Also, the Accord is recruiting. And they reallllyyyy need pilots. >_>

Pretty cool.  Disappointed to see how poor the comms discipline of the Caldari Navy is though....I mean, really.  Come on!

Looking forward to seeing what happens with this stuff in the future.

Aurora were vulnerable by default in all of the events I participated in, and some of those were a very long time ago. In fact, I got gate-gunned for defending an Aurora convoy from other players way back in the day.

Without going off on a tangent, I might suggest a thread here in the appropriate board discussing your recruitment... ;)

http://8th.podzone.org/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=5133

The Gallente Federation saves the Tama system from subjugation from the Nation. However, due to the massive amounts of pirates, they were delayed and thus over 100k colonists from Tama V were kidnapped before the carrier eventually exploded. Meanwhile, there were only 3 Caldari militia pilots that contributed to the kill. Talk about, Team Gallente World Police! "YEA WE KICKED SANSHA ASS!" but messed up the shop in the process (like the Paris scene from that movie).

Meanwhile, the Amarrians responded instantly in Kamela, destroying two carriers in swift timing, saving all the civilians. However, the Amarr Navy commander ordered the militia to kill all the Minmatar, to which they were :(
