Honestly, I'm amazed how small the growth of any open blood raider activity was in the wake of these awfull movies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kg3fACgr3Wk

Usually a lot of the "oh so different" fairy crowd hop on whatever drama comes across their path :?:

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that if someone made a blood raider character and went on about how "I only drank animal blood and I'm really just misunderstood..." the entire RP community would keel haul them.

this  :bash:

Well, yes.

But I was under the impression that at least one previous Sani Sabik group made a big deal out of not being Blooders and not carving up people in order to get blood for ritual purposes (just when they got annoyed at them)? Come to that weren't they explicitly based on the European baddies from the Twilight series?

I'm entirely prepared to accept that I might be mistaken though.

There are so many I can relate to Lasa (just see her bio for various lyric quotes, lmao).

My most recent one has to be this though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKZ26Y2J-iE

A Million Exploding Suns - Horse The Band
It's a pretty good at describing his past, present, and possible futures.

The first part is about his late teens/early twenties, drifting from job to job while he starts forming/learning about the sometimes conflicting philosophies that would become the base of his actions in the coming years:
Quote
I've forgotten my name
I'm sick and weak and fresh from sleep
I crawl from a crooked bed
With dirty feet and shaky hands
The numbers on the clock read
One-one-four-oh A.M.
I've got time to clean myself
Then sell my soul again
When I sleep I dream
I dream I'm awake
Or was it when I'm awake
I dream I'm asleep?
I work, I shit, I eat, I sleep
I'm inspected by the number seven
This can't be my life
No this isn't me

I don't know what's beset this change
I barely recognize my own face
In my mind I know that something's not right
But in my heart I'm bathed in the golden light!
I'm bathed in the golden light!!
I'm bathed in the golden light!!!
The second part is about him becoming a capsuleer and realizing the potential of being one, and finding a purpose:
Quote
My eyelids still heavy, my pulse still faint
I'm puzzle pieces, my memorys stained
I feel strength swell - a day dream
I'm shaking under this duality
My pulse is still faint
I hear a strange voice but don't know what it's saying

And in this moment
Seconds stop and I burst with clarity
A wealth of love and hate gone blank
For I finally remember my fucking name!

I eat rocks
And I breathe wind
I've been around the world and back again
I've lost the static
The gray is gone
I have the power of a million exploding suns
The third part is about his present state, having so much power, but in fear of using it, afraid that he might fall victim to "capsuleer dementia". His conflicting philosophies render him unable to take action one way or the other:
Quote
I am consumed by my might
Blinded in light as I would be in night
The void is holding me tight
It doesn't feel right

When will I ever break free
Within or without, I'm chained by the dream
The void is holding me tight
It doesn't feel right

When will I ever break free
Within or without, I'm chained by the dream
The void and the light are both me
It doesn't feel right
Finally, the last part is about his possible futures, breaking the internal impasse, or schizophrenicly pleasing his conflicting philosophies, one at a time, repeat. And his death(s) or possible suicide:
Quote
Bright lights flood my eyes
It's true
Now I realise
The perilous truth
Of a perilous life
By my own device
The strength of my high
Is the strength of my low
Unless there's no me
They both..
They both explode!

Ok... so, after his recent activites... Rok has a new one.

He's always been somewhat anti-Roden, but he's almost over the edge of that particular cliff now.

So now that Anslo's a bit more out there ICly, does anyone have a different theme song they think would relate to him than the ones posted a page or two back?

I've modified the lyrics slightly to suit Stimulus' RP a bit more closely, but only slightly

(I'm assuming I've matched the right song to the lyrics--I don't speak Russian so I'm not 100% sure there aren't two different "Partisan's Song" versions.  The comments on one of them indicated very different lyrics than the ones I found, so I'm unsure.)

My friend, do you hear the dark flight of the crows over our plains?
My friend, do you hear the dulled cries of comrades in chains?

Oh, friends, do you hear, pilots, industrialists, in your ears alarm bells ringing?
Tonight all our tears will be turned to tongues of flame in our blood singing!

Warp on out of the asteroid belt, out from hiding in the stations, all you comrades,
Take out from your hangars all your guns, your munitions and your grenades;

Hey you, assassins, with your bullets and your knives, kill tonight!
Hey you, saboteurs, be careful with your burden, dynamite!

We are the ones who break the jail bars in two for our brothers,
hunger drives, hate pursues, misery binds us to one another.

There are empires where podders sleep without a care and lie dreaming.
But here, do you see, we fly on, we kill on, we're reborn screaming.

But here, each one knows what he wants, what he does with his choice;
My friend, if you fall, from the shadows on the wall, another you steps into your place.

Tomorrow, clones shall freeze out in the vacuum of space.
But sing, companions, freedom hears us in the night still so sweet.

My friend, do you hear the dark flight of the crows over our plains?
My friend, do you hear the dulled cries of our comrades in chains?

The original:

Quote
My friend, do you hear the dark flight of the crows over our plains?
My friend, do you hear the dulled cries of our countries in chains?

Oh, friends, do you hear, workers, farmers, in your ears alarm bells ringing?
Tonight all our tears will be turned to tongues of flame in our blood singing!

Climb up from the mine, out from hiding in the pines, all you comrades,
Take out from the hay all your guns, your munitions and your grenades;

Hey you, assassins, with your bullets and your knives, kill tonight!
Hey you, saboteurs, be careful with your burden, dynamite!

We are the ones who break the jail bars in two for our brothers,
hunger drives, hate pursues, misery binds us to one another.

There are countries where people sleep without a care and lie dreaming.
But here, do you see, we march on, we kill on, we die screaming.

But here, each one knows what he wants, what he does with his choice;
My friend, if you fall, from the shadows on the wall, another steps into your place.

Tomorrow, black blood shall dry out in the sunlight on the streets.
But sing, companions, freedom hears us in the night still so sweet.

My friend, do you hear the dark flight of the crows over our plains?
My friend, do you hear the dulled cries of our countries in chains?

VNV Nation - Darkangel

There's actually several of their songs I'd like for different aspects and times in his history, but this one most effectively sums him up since going EoM a few years back.

Updating Kala's to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDiNgawIZds

Quote
And you thought the lions were bad
Well they tried to kill my brothers
And for every king that died
Oh they would crown another
But it's harder than you think
Telling dreams from one another
But you thought the lions were bad
Well they tried to kill my brother

And felled in the night
By the ones you think you love
They will come for you
And felled in the night
By the ones you think you love
They will come for you

Fleetwood Mac - "Rhiannon"

I got the name from the song, but I don't know that it particularly fits the character.

Nothing quite puts me into the mood to reclaim the wayward heathens like this one.

That's weird, given it's about how the people of god were not saved by their own military might (probably from the attack of the Assyrians), but only by God who judges all and lets (all) earth tremble and fall silent - including the people of Israel (and Judah, probably). Not really the Reclaiming tune to my ears.
