DTN: Shinko's Shame

Third installment! I should probably make a resource thread. Also double whammy, this is as much a Blood Raider Covenant add-on as it is Sansha's Nation, I think.

This one is going to be a bit more "assertive", as it were. Also, I might need some fact checking for those more familiar with the Covenant during their flight from the Bleak Lands. In particular, if Delve and those regions existed as major holdings/settlements for the Covenant before their flight.


Living alongside the territorial borders of Sansha's Nation can be an unnerving prospect. For the Sani Sabik who live in Period Basis, they pass on the story of Shinko's Shame to forewarn those who would entice the Sansha.

Not long ago during the Blood Raider Covenant's flight from the Bleak Lands there was a colony overseer named Orliar Shinko. He had found himself unable to adequately move his colony and all of its holdings to the new settlement location in Delve. He approached the Sansha living not far away and asked for their assistance, promising great payment. The Sansha agreed and Shinko's arrogance assumed the Covenant command would authorize such a lavish exchange.

The Blood Raider Covenant command declined the authorization on the grounds of being unable to spare the resources. Here some would argue that the Covenant command was incensed by Shinko's assumption they'd pay his bill, others believe they honestly had no resources to spare at the time. Regardless, Shinko found himself confronted by his Sansha escort half way through Querious.

Unable to provide them with anything in his power near what he had promised, his would-be guardians suddenly became his captors. It was here the Sansha split the convoy in half, commandeering the vast majority of goods and industrial equipment from the colony. They left only enough to allow the bulk of the civilian population to continue on to Delve. Shinko and the entirety of his administration were hauled to Stain.

It would not be until some time later the Covenant command would launch an official investigation into what had become of Shinko and all the goods taken by the Sansha. When asked, the True Slaves responded simply,

"Sufficient payment has been rendered."



Not quite as unique as the other two so far, but one I like in its own way. I adore the notion of the Sansha, in this instance, taking only what they felt was truly adequate rather than taking "everything". An eye for an eye, as it were.

Looks good Ghost. Can't really comment on the holdings for the BR unfortunately, not that bitter of a vet. :P
