As for tips for expressions? I think the limits of expression vary quite a lot amongst bloodlines.

Yes, some bloodlines are more difficult to get certain expressions from. However, if you 'front-load' emotion into your character by sculpting his face in a certain emotion (like toughness) at the initial process, it is more difficult to get a full range of emotions to tweak once you arrive at the portrait section.

And those limits are subject to change, for example, I can't use the character creator without losing the current smiley face I have. it is impossible to recreate that smile now. Which prevents me from changing clothing or jewellery or anything else as well.

Even Sister Dougans may change her smile at times you know.  ;)
