I kinda wish that all the players who played "infested" characters in the past, would make a comeback in this thread. Like Nikilaiki, and the rogue drone RPers I hung out with for a bit. I am currently very fascinated with the idea of rampant infomorphs taking over helpless New Eden meatsacks.

One can dream :p

I am working on that. Please stand by.

Happy to pay it back.

Tooling around on the internet sometime in about 2003, sick of failed runs at RP in Anarchy Online and Everquest I came across a few things that got me interested in a game called EVE Online that was still in beta I think. The EC stories were one of those things.

Tried to make the post a bit 'you can take it or leave it' - hope it doesn't come across too heavy-handed.

Considering much of the EVE backstory was lifted from Babylon 5 this sound about right.

Hadn't thought about Londo in a while, ahh I miss them all.

You see, kids? Only good things happen when you do drugs and drink to excess.

  • These things just seem to happen...

I think it was a success.

Indeed... and now a sliver of (slightly unreliable) knowledge about infomorphs taking over capsuleers has bled out from the novels, and into IGS.

(p.s. for those who didn't catch my drunken rant, http://eve-search.com/thread/145300-1/page/1 has a cache - not sure for how long though)

I only read the thread after the edits and the string of like 5 posts by Istvaan that say "edit: drunk post" are among the funniest things I've read in a long while.

Deeply, deeply, messed up poetry.
