You know, I had high hopes for the new wardec system because I saw the potential of it seeing a return of the original Privateers model (My first ever pvp corp I joined <3) and the chance to just wardec large nullsec alliances and allow the opportunity to shoot all their mission runners, carebears and threaten their logistics chains in high-sec by small-medium Corps/Alliances.

I guess the Inferno system got the same wardec nerf via pricing when those 0.0 Alliances cried too much about it this time around.

I think the first ally should always be free, so a kind of a reverse Privateer system might be possible - provoke a large alliance to wardec a proxy corp, which then promptly uses its free ally to get the main corp in the war. Or even better, make a reputation for white knighting (or at least grey knighting) for actually wardec'd corps, though then you'd likely face a number of yarrbears evading from anything that can actually fight.
