'Speaks and Walks" (Chronicle)
« on: 03 Jun 2012, 20:20 »

Abraxas has published a new Chronicle regarding the DUSTies and the psychological issues that come with being an immortal weapon.

As usual for Abraxas, it's full of mindscrewery.

I like the implications of Gallentians being punched in the face by walking up to a Minmatar as they so freely use another person's culture as a fad.

First time I've seen anyone, ever, use intuition as a verb.

Interesting bit is that there is clearly mind control involved, through hi-tech or severe indoctrination.

If 'they' bother with doing something like that to a DUSTie, what the hell makes you think that capsuleers are not subject to the same, or something even more severe?

"Intuit" is a bona fide verb. I think the whole voices thing was meant to be a nod towards the "lol sleeper mindparts" element of the DUST tech, but I'm not sure. :abraxas:

Man, I really enjoyed this one. Four memories, each loosely connected to the next by a feeling of deja vu, each the same, each wondering if the same thoughts came before. At least that's what I think it is.

I ctrl-f'd Gallente, Amarr, Caldari, Minmatar and Federation, Empire, State and Republic...and found nothing!

No PF-mining for meeee

The repetition of terms and phrases, which Abraxas describes as an experiment in something like anaphora, put me most in mind of a prose sestina.
