I think the inherent oxymoron is what makes it funny.

Ugh, Harper. I am leaving Earth and never coming back. Goodbye, sweet Canada.

Wasn't he already PM?

* Casiella knows almost nothing about Canadian politics except that some segment of Quebec wants to secede... and that's about it.

I went out and voted, but I didn't really feel like I was changing anything. I feel quite powerless while voting. The curse of democracy is that with everyone having a say, what one person thinks becomes irrelevant in the big picture.

Well....... you can't.

I know very little about Canadian politics except what drizzles down to me from my Overlord John Revenent. I presume it's pretty much the same as here with more French in it.

Sometimes, keeping abreast of Australian, NZ, US and UK politics isn't enough.

Oh, and Ireland.

He was, and is, but at time he only had a minority Government. This means what ever policies he tried to pass would require the other parties to vote on it for it to be accepted. He now has a majority and can pretty much to whatever he wants, within reason of course.

That group that wanted to secede in Quebec got decimated and don't even have official party status anymore. My beloved NDP crushed the province of Quebec.

Our new government is going to destroy this country. They did it in the late 80's and it seems no one learned from it. Soooo, they're back, and it seems our people are ready to truly convert all of the north to the USA.

Sounds like you're copying Britain tbh.

Thatcher perpetrated terrible things here. Now her bastard offspring are back in power and they have carte blanche to destroy more than she could ever have dreamt of destroying.
