The Part Where We Play The Devils
« on: 08 Apr 2011, 17:04 »

Hi Everyone!

For the past 4 weeks or so, Shintoko and I have been rebuilding Risen Angels around an idea. That idea is to have a corp driven entirely by roleplay. Yes, this has been done before, but we're trying to push it further then its been pushed before, making OOC as incidental as possible. Everything we do, all the shenanigans we incite, all the messes we make, happen in character.

However, we are quickly finding out that we're having trouble driving the corporation forward using this footing, since our characters are less inclined to push things. Therefore, this is a general offer and callout.

Does your story arc need an Ally? A Villain?
Does your campaign need help? or an enemy to make it interesting?
Do you need a nemesis? A friend?

We can do it. We want to do it. We want combat, and Roleplay, and epic shenanigans.
This is a free service, there is no contractual obligation, and its purely to encourage roleplay.
If you're interested...speak up.

I'd love to help, but yeah... I can't for the life of me see what use I can have for a pack of Angels. Sorry.

I think if you're going to run a corp IC, then I think you need to have characters that would be able to successfully run a corp IC. That might mean gradually changing your characters to be the sorts of people who can do that, or potentially hiring a "Chief Operations Officer" who can do that for you (either an alt, or another player) to do that day to day pushing.

Eh, the characters are capable of it, however, they're also slightly strapped for things to do without orders from curse. Since we had sort of wanted to avoid moustache twirling evil for the sake of evil characters. There are some things we can do using our character's RP, however, I'm holding off on pushing those arcs forward until certain things happen IC.

I'll definitely keep it in mind.

U'K are more than happy to kill pilots associated with those slave-trading race-traitor angel scum. Your kind is just in fairly short supply.

We hang around in Paradise constellation these days. If you stop by some time we can give you a fight vs people who hate your guts IC ;)

As we've had tentative dealings with Angel groups in the past, let us know if you'd like to work out some small contracts for 'human capital' you could take possession of in our space and perhaps smuggle out elsewhere *shrug* would certainly peeve plenty of folks if you were interested. Would be happy to coordinate an IGS statement saying we are giving you a lucrative contract for taking our new captives to market in other regions, etc.

It is, I'm mentally working out the details right now actually.

Is it still possible to smuggle slaves into Federation or Minmatar space?

You can't use the Orca trick anymore so I have been told, so I think you are back to blind luck or using a scout to get past customs.  Not sure if cloaking could work, I was always under the impression that customs insta-scans you for stuff like that.

I have used a covops and a blockade runner to smuggle rescued slaves into and around the republic.

As it was explained to me, the customs ships have to actually lock you to get a scan on you, so if you aren't there long enough to be scanned, you don't get caught.

I've heard of some people smuggling in interceptors, but I've never tried it.
