Presents. Charity leaves me a bad taste of "here puny sufferer I have never met, have some of my money so I can have my positive reaction feeling for a day or two" and I *know* the presents goes to someone who deserves it and won't risk ending in the wrong hands.

Turbo-diesel. Electric has its place, but there's that intense, subsonic thrumming you get from diesels (especially older ones) that I just love.
