Yeah it's not Ambulation, yeah it's not what's in the game, yeah you can't easily take down an alliance, hurr hurr blah blah.

Aside from all that, discuss. Also, is this the trailer CCP promised a few weeks ago? Hope not.

Yes, this is the one they've been talking about.

And personally, I really liked it. It may not be "easy", but it's happened enough (including recently) that it's had major impacts on the game.

It was awesome. And yes, you can cripple an Alliance that 'easily'. Take Ushra'Khan as a prime example. They had to reform after their losses. And 'easily' isn't exactly a term I'd use. The trust needed to gain that kind of power requires a lot of time and social manipulation.

I loved the trailer, especially when the assets started pouring into his personal hangar. Fantastic.

I really want to see a patch in the next few weeks changing the docking animation to what we saw in that trailer.

Swooping in all elegantly, and then the station UI pops up. Amazingly delicious.

I kinda liked it. I was hoping for more ambulation type stuff, but that wasnt bad. And as a person that kinda RP's more of a social manipulation oriented character it wasnt bad.

It may scare away some potential customers.

EVE is right to advertise this aspect of the game.

It exists, and is a draw to players who enjoy intrigue.

More than that though, hopefully it is a warning to those starting out with dreams of might:
"Trust others only with what you can afford to lose."

So I take it this means CCP won't be fixing their 'click of a button to disband without a timer' mechanic?

I dunno, I just thought this entire trailer was just really underwelming. It didn't give me the shivers and make me watch it 8 times in a row like the Dominion trailer or like some of the stuff by Dire and Kyoko did.
