Manhunt under way for police suspect
Dodixie - Residential communities across Dodixie have been rocked as details slowly emerge about the events that occurred last week, where nearly two dozen young adults were found allegedly murdered in a private residence. The Federation News has learned that in the early hours following the events, an unidentified female individual was seen leaving the premises. The female suspect headed west among residential homes, where she encountered and attacked witnesses that stopped to give her aid.
Simon Marchal, retired Skyball player for the Caille Chameleons, was driving home with his wife when he spotted the individual: "She runs right out into the intersection, screaming in Amarish, over and over. She's covered in blood, and I can't tell if it's hers or someone else's. We stop and get out, and I'm telling the girl to try and calm down when she pulls out a blade."
The suspect was able to injure Marchal's wife before commandeering the couple's hover vehicle and fleeing the scene. Analiese Marchal, a technical assissant employed by the Nugoeihuvi Corporation, remains in stable condition at the Saint of Dawn Hospital.
Detective Inspector Ygola, leading the investigation, issued a public statement this morning. "We are aware that a young woman was seen leaving the premises, and this individual remains a person of interest. The circumstances of her involvement remain unclear, but we are asking that she turn herself in to authorities. Further to that, citizens are advised not to personally confront the suspect, but rather to call police and report their sightings. And I would like to advise the public that aiding the suspect in any way, including providing false information to the police, may face legal consequences."
When asked if the individual could pose a danger to residents of Dodixie, Ygola stated that the suspect was no longer believed to be in the Dodixie system. "We have reason to believe that this person of interest was able to acquire a personal transport and travel off-world to the Federal Navy Assembly Plant orbiting Dodixie Nine. Surveillance footage shows an individual matching her physical description boarding a capsuleer freighter, which left system shortly thereafter."
When asked how the suspect might have escaped off-world, or evaded security officials and customs checkpoints aboard a Federal Navy station, Ygola stated that the Federal Police are currently investigating all possible avenues, and that this remains an active criminal investigation.
The Federal Intelligence Office did not respond to our request for comments.
According to witnesses, the individual is described to be an Amarrian female between the ages of 20 and 25, about 5 feet 1 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds and sporting short, dark hair. She was last seen wearing a multi-coloured hooded jacket with leather pants, and is believed to still be armed.
