heheh, i guess from the point of view of survival of Federation values, it is indeed the Amarr and their reclaiming the biggest threat possible. And therefore having any ally (as weak as it may be) is a strategic bonus.
But if it comes to that, i wonder if the Caldari would not have the same fear eventually.
What will happen to the Syndicate in such a scenario actually is most intriguing. Syndicate has all kinds of deals with the Federation, regardless if they are legal or not, it would be bad business to just loose such a close partner.
