the red jacket I have costs more than most if not all of the highest-tier medical clones available. That's pretty ridiculous, in context.

Maybe the leather's made from skin of the highest-tier medical clones.  :D

So not only are these items marked up by obscene percentages, we also use specialized golden token mini-transmitters to purchase them.

... why is this necessary? Shouldn't we just be able to have a monolithic library of clothing to select from? We're the richest individuals in the universe, why can we purchase vessels with advanced Sleeper technology if we couldn't also buy every piece of clothing in a given shop with the change in our pocket?

Okay, I'm confused.

I put on a set of clothing that includes stuff out of the NeX in station A. These items disappear from my hangar and appear on my character's body.

Now you're telling me that if I jump-clone to station B, I will appear, with those clothes. And that if I go change the clothing I have on in the recustomization tool, the clothing items will appear in that hangar?

That's... I dunno. "Fucking stupid" comes to mind. How does that make sense at all? I put clothes on at point A, clone jump to a body on the other side of the cluster at point B, and am wearing the same set of RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED* clothing I started with? What?

... Or did they just fix the bug in question - that is, keep the clothing attached to the jump clone you left instead of dumping it in the hangar there? You people are making no sense (and I've had no reason to waste training time by JCing in a while, so haven't tested it myself yet)...

* The rest of the NeX price issues aside, the red jacket I have costs more than most if not all of the highest-tier medical clones available. That's pretty ridiculous, in context.

I swear I saw this - that is, jump cloning causing the clothing you are currently wearing to be mirrored onto the clone you are jumping to - in patch notes somewhere, thought "well, that's really stupid, even if it does make the price more justified" and then just moved on.

Naturally, I can't find it now.

I like the implications of Gallentians being punched in the face by walking up to a Minmatar as they so freely use another person's culture as a fad.

This is the point I've been making for ages. There should be a very large library of clothing styles and absolutely no racial limitations on who can choose them, but every time I try and make this point to CCP I don't get enough support to convince them to make that change.

It'd take a lot to convince them to give up another thing for people to spend PLEX money on, I suppose. /o\

Well the once-in-a-blue-moon thing happened and I started supporting one of Jade Constantine's initiatives - namely to get rid of the NeX altogether and shut down the idea of microtransactions entirely.

I wouldn't be so opposed if I saw an instance of micro-transactions functioning as intended.

I mean my earliest MMO was Ascheron's Call and then Everquest, and they both tried it. Everquest II tried it (didn't play it, just watched the results with sadness)... I mean is it any wonder that the only games that use micros are the free ones from Korea like, Rumble Fighters?

DC Universe went free-to-play recently, and they're still advertising it as a positive thing. I can't figure out why anyone bothers to spin that as a good thing, regardless of the game.
