Currently, my hair is WTFBLUE, and its been WTFBLUE for a while. I definitely like it blue, I've been much less self loathing since I've dyed it blue. However, it has occurred to me recently, that I've had, and always had, a bit of a thing for people with fire engine red hair, which made me think, would I possibly like myself more with red hair? Could I pull off red hair? Should I stick with blue or go with red?

My issue is that I can't exactly picture myself with red hair. So here's a picture of me with blue hair, so you all can compare and contrast.

Its less intrisinic then it sounds, if I consider myself prettier, I'm happier with myself, and therefore happier overall. You could try to make the case that thats not a mentally healthy way to live, but I think most people would agree that they're happier when they like how they look.

Depends on the dye.

If you can use something that does not do serious damage to the hair, then you can dye it back in a few weeks or so.

Never hurts to be a bit adventurous.

As to your question I would give it a try. Like Lallara said if you use a good dye you can change it back if you don't like it.

Use your mad photoshop skills to make it red in that picture and see what you think of it.

If you're naturally ruddy, or flush easily, having red hair could make that more pronounced.  On the other hand, if it's a bright enough shade of red, it might be a safe bet that people will notice that before they notice you're pink.

I notice the dread/wool looking "stuffs" before I notice that its blue, but that may just be me.

My youngest daughter decided the other day that she wanted her head shaved. It's pretty damn cute.

At the same time, when I was 19, I had a fire-engine red mohawk. That was pretty slick looking, too.

true, but I doubt I could pull it off.

And Vieve, ruddy is not a way I'd describe me. I use the lightest shade of foundation there is and I've been described as corpse like.

eh, I think I might as well try it, if I don't like it, I can always just let it fade out and re-blue it.

Every male in my family goes bald. I took my cousins approach and just shaved my head. Works pretty well so far.

You have dreadlocks.

One half of dreadlocks fire engine red, other half deep blue like you have them now. Intersperse them evenly.
