PERSONAL HISTORY:
(Taken from the EVELopedia: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Contributor_name:Ga%27len)

Ga'len was born on Oris, the 8th planet of the Amarr System, to a wealthy land owning family. His father, Galen Grendarlis the IV was a renown traditionalist and kept a large plantation with a large number of Minmatar slaves working the fields. As a result, he was raised with traditional Amarrian values. His mother, Cerah, was more sympathetic towards the Minmatar people and helped to balance his upbringing.

As a teenager, he began to listen more to his mother as his father became more and more abusive towards everyone on the plantation. Ga'len's disgust for the mistreatment of the Minmatar people grew more with each day and he would often spending much time watching the slaves both in the fields and in their barracks, trying to learn as much as he could. Small miracles of kindness were left for those slaves by his hands in way of food, clothing, books and various items that they were in need. His father would continually punish him for his actions acts of rebellion. His mother saved his life on more than one occasion.

He left Oris suddenly after an incident where two Amarr guards were killed. He was rumored to have been killed while escaping into the Tash-Murkon Prime (System). This afforded him some much need time to educate himself further and become a capsuleer.

Initially he worked as a miner then later becoming a combat pilot for various Empire corporations until the hindrance of CONCORD became too much and he ventured out into the low sec systems of New Eden.

After spending many years as an active pirate he received a message from his half sister Leaniati. Apparently she had survived the attack on their shuttle (The complete story of the event leading up to his exodus can be found here:  http://www.eve-druid.com/the-blade-of-truth-part-i). He made the decision to become a Warrior of the Ushra'Khan and helped them win some major victories during the early days of the ProviWar (http://www.eve-druid.com/ProviWar). After the reclamation of Unity Station, it was time for Ga'len to leave and bring his new family and friends out of slaver occupied territory (http://www.eve-druid.com/reunions-and-farewells).

Currently, Ga'len is engaged in piracy operations on behalf of Veto Corp.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:

Ga'len's love for the Minmatar people led him to embrace the variety of cultures found in New Eden.  As a result, he tends to behave with a freedom not echoed in many of his bloodlines.  His disgust for slavery has led him into fights with fellow Amarrians in the past, however, he's learned to hold his tongue and knife in check.

Being so unlike the stereotypical Amarr, he found it fascinating to study all that was known of humans prior to the Amarrian rediscovery of space travel.  Fragments of knowledge led him to try to revive the ancient Druid religion. Although little more is known aside from than the name of this ancient religion and a love of trees, Ga'len tries to uphold ideals that he sees befitting of that ancient tradition.  Such ideals as a sense of honor and duty towards ones friends and family.

Most of Ga'len's career as a capsuleer has seen him in the employ of various pirate organizations throughout New Eden.  He sees piracy as the ultimate freedom in this universe, a freedom that is not unique in it's racial composition.  To Ga'len, the pirates of the universe are the ones that have evolved into what he feels is the true nature of the human race.  A mix of chaos that works to grow stronger by weeding out the weaker of the species.  In time, piracy will be the tool that will lead to the human races final stage evolution, where we are one strong race that falls prey to no one.
