One of the reasons secrets leak IRL is that people just have to tell someone, anyone, about their secret. Keeping secrets, especially secrets that show how clever, connected or special you are, is hard.

Doing it for 5 years
Well, lately my character cracked a bit and allowed to leak some information about her, but the most funniest, humiliating and 'clever, capable and special' secrets remained secret. Although I made it possible so she can be eventually 'cracked', I put some very hard barriers against it. Some people (I wont' show finger, or they will find this character and try again haha) tried, without success of course 

Sometimes I think about summarizing information that was known already about characters, but actually I would prefer to other players to find it out themselves than reading again from somewhere

One of the more interesting meta plays is the nuclear disclosure option; loudly declare each and every one of your characters' secrets and plans OOCly. Then, whenever anyone tries to make an IC move against your character, or as much as the slightest untoward noise about them, howl at the horrible metagamers!

Bitter, moi? Noooo.

Yeah, I've seen people do that too. Post a lot OOC, then complain when no-one wants to interact IC.

If I recall correctly, Valdezi was (IC) seekretly moving a bunch of assets down to my area to try and gank me, and I commented on it IC, making it pointless.

I think I understand what your feeling there. I finally had to just exit OOC except for the occasional visit to ask a question. Too much going on to also have that other layer of information and meta. I lack the brainpower to filter all that shit and make sure I am not either using info I shouldnt have or reacting to people incorrectly because of my personal opinion of them instead of Souch's. Not that I don't talk to lots of people in private/intel/even local sometimes out of character but I try to minimize that type of interaction with people I enjoy RPing with. To each there own though really.
