Hi folks,

I've been lurking here for a while but have time to start coming out now. I've bumped into a few folks in game and seemed worthwhile to pop in and say hi.

I've been playing Eve for a year or so and feel I have sufficient handle on the game to start Rping without worrying about which button stuff.  Previously I was Rping in Star Wars Galaxies and PnP games with D&D and Traveller going back to the 80's.

Reinheart is an Ammarrian Industrialist but I'm letting things work through while I work out the deeper elements of who he is. I've tended to the Lawful Evil end of the spectrum with other characters but I'm having fun seeing how things develop.

In RL I live in New Zealand, so I tend to be on in the wee hours for the main US/EU Tz's but Eve seems to be better on those aspects than other MMO's I've tried.

aye. I started out on Tempest and then moved on to Starsider. Definitely some fond memories.

I do love the freedom that the Eve Lore gives in comparison to the SW(G) lore. Not to mention the absence of any debate over emote vs dice vs mechanics for resolving combat.

Well, yeah, I don't remember SWG for the game it was (interesting innovative sandbox ideas completely screwed up by a terrible gameplay is my opinion), but for the RP community on Kauri. Or I would have stopped to play that game after a month. Of course, it was also my first MMO so I am probably biased sentimentally.
