Much as I miss the old Aria, the new one worked out so well that I haven't changed her outfit since for fear that I'd have to redo the image. I gather the system no longer allows for this camera angle.

The angle is still doable, I think, but lighting has changed in subtle ways that can dramatically affect portrait. I noticed this on three of my alts - in addition to the skin tone change, where some skin tones prior to mixed bloodlines don't exist now (encountered that on Ghost). Play with it on SISI, as the antialiasing applied by the server is important in final presentation - its how I fiddle with alternative Ghost poses.

the limits of poseability have been changed since I made it.

Much as I miss the old Aria, the new one worked out so well that I haven't changed her outfit since for fear that I'd have to redo the image. I gather the system no longer allows for this camera angle.

The system finally keeps the pose in memory now so that when you change something it automatically offers you the old pose directly when you have to make your portrait (it was really annoying before). If you change the pose though, and you want to get the old pose back, you have to trash the changes and re open the recustomization for it to offer you again the pose of the old portrait. That way you can change clothes or anything minor really quickly without having to redo all the posing and portrait.

There is also a new "tool" that is really, really neat when taking the portrait : once you take a pic, you can continue to modify the pose and lightning, and BG, etc, and when you click back on the preview pic you took before doing the changes, it puts the model back to that pose again, which is very, very handy. So when you have taken 3 or 4 different pics of different poses you like you can quickly switch between them to adjust if needed.

I'd be much more likely to play with my portraits if I knew I could try a new one for a while, maybe for an event, and then revert to a previous one, just as it was. It's one of those conservative things where not being sure if the new thing will be better prevents me from moving away from the current, known, pretty good thing.

Yeah it would be really nice if we could make save portrait poses like we save ship fits.
