So, Sai managed to run away with me again, and she went and said this.

And I might as well do it.

So the semi-IC stuff.  First, if Gyra/Kaleigh Doyle still prowls here or if anyone knows how to contact her, this is for her.  If you don't want me using the NERA name, tell me and I'll drop it, no problem.  I might drop it anyway, just to make it different.

And the OOC stuff.  This will be an IC event.  The only rule I have now for this that I will never break or allow to be broken is to have OOC information used to cheat someone on the race track.  I will admit that I don't really know how someone could do this, but it is important to my next rule.  Anything IC is allowed. 

Let me make this clear, there will be IC rules, but they only apply if I catch you IC.  Or if I want to catch you IC.  If you find a way to cheat IC, and want to run the risk, do it.  You find a can, bookmark it.  Or call some pirate buddies and tell them to camp it.  Offer Sai bribes, maybe she's greedy.  This will be a totally IC event, and if you're a dirty cheating bastard IC, I would expect you to act like it. 

I say this here because I don't want any OOC feelings being hurt over someone geting an in game advantage via IC actions.  Anyone who wants to race will read this and I will hold everyone to it.  You knew about this going in, don't come crying to me.

As for what happened with the last incarnation of the NERA, well I did put the can example up there for a reason.  You find one, go ahead. 

But don't expect me to make it easy for you.

Anyway, watch for more in July sometime.  Work is killing me until then.

Good luck then, I hope it will work out for you.

I will not participate though, which is not a surprise considering my views on racing. IC-ly, Lyn would not care at all, but for me OOC-ly, I want to race, not to probe containers and racetracks. And it unfortunately spoils all the fun when everyone does it but you and is flying 5-10 jumps ahead of you, meaning that you only see them at the beginning. Anyway I was pretty clear of what my views are on racing last time on the NERA OOC forums.

I like the IC bit of your project, though, and wish you well with it.

I am still thinking of a way doing something interesting anyway, so even if I wanted I would probably not be able to take part in it.

G.I.P.A. has done some racing with NE*RA rules. I'm pretty sure we would be interested in participating.

Well so much for that.  Due to real life being an absolute pain in the ass, I won't be doing this in July, since I don't have the RL iskies for eve any more, and most likely won't for some time.  But I still plan to come back, and if there isn't a racing league when ever that is, I'll try this again.

Well I hope it will go well for you to see you ingame soon enough. I am currently writing the rules of my own racing league so that people will have an alternative to keep them warm before you come back...
