The Luthien Incident is a Gallente made action-thriller movie about the Khanid Secession hundreds of years ago and stars a full cast of Amarrians and Khanid to accurately portray to characters.
The plot revolves around a Khanid spec ops commando squad that is sent on a dangerous mission to deal with an Amarrian superweapon, using only their super elite skills of stealth and sheer brutality to stop the threat.
The squad, lead by 'Eagle' - a hard edged old Khanid commando with a more than a little gung-ho attitude and a dislike of the top brass but commands absolute loyalty from his men.
XO'd by 'Wasp' a much younger man of mixed Amarrian-Khanid heritage who while a brilliant soldier, struggles to understand the violent upheaval of the nations and his split loyalty, this is brought to a confrontation at the climax where he switches sides and betrays the team in a previously unseen move.
The two other team members are 'Sparrow' and 'Hawk'.
'Sparrow' is a thin and gangly tech expert with dry wit and a by the book lifestyle, and is constantly on edge about their leaders descisions, but remains steadfastly loyal.
'Hawk' is the Demo-man, a slightly slower witted and brutish man with a tendancy for big bangs and unsubtle approaches and is the most loyal and reverant towards 'Eagle'
As a somewhat a-typical action movie, it had a half way decent storyline and average character development it rated above average for just a simple action flick and has maintained a decent popularity after its initial launch in 106YC.
Somewhat due to its initial popularity the Khanid have had their position reinforced as slightly-nicer than the Amarrians, who are portrayed as evil megalomaniacs bent on destroying the cluster, and also helped reafirm the Gallentean beliefs that the Amarrians are indeed evil.
The movie is banned in the Amarrian Empire for its anti-Amarrian sentiment but maintains a popular black market trade for slaves and other races who live in the Empire.
It is availiable for purchase in every other Empire, although the Khanid Kingdom itself doesn't openly endorse the film.
