Well, I figured I would potentially get back into Eve.
I've been on a good nearly year long break of sorts. Used to be in null-sec corps/alliance associated with CFC, but left that before the Casino War started and dived into faction warfare.
In any case, I'm thinking about giving the RP community a try.
I don't have a lot of RP experience outside of writing using OCs/WoW characters with my fiance, and a little bit of in-game WoW RP.
Figured that the setting that Eve is in would be more appealing for me than in WoW or other games, plus how unique it is makes it interesting.
Nice thing is that, depending on what sort of stuff I get into, I don't have to worry too much about actually subbing to the game :D
I'm interested to see where I end up going with it. Expanding horizons I suppose.
Any sort of RP would be interesting, writing stories and building characters is something I would like to get better at.
Learning more about the Eve's lore is something I'm into as well, especially concerning WH space and the Sleepers.

The lore is pretty robust. There's a ton of Chronicles and in-game reference material, novels, world news, etc. There's naturally quite a bit about sleepers and wormholes, and no shortage of active players who are both current/former WH residents and roleplayers. One place to start is the wiki link above, as it collects various sources. You can also detail your character(s) there.

I will definitely take a look at that lore wiki.
I've read some of the chronicles, and a few of the articles. Always nice to see how much thought goes into making the setting for Eve, even when it feels like it takes a back seat to the player driven stuff.
Oh, any tips for finding RP/RPers in game, outside of channels like the Summit and such?

I suppose for the moment mostly smaller groups, if not one on one sort of RP. Sort of work my way into things, and work on building my character.
In the meantime, I will check out some of the various channels and take some time to read up on the wiki and chronicles. I noticed there was that RP style thread as well, if I get the chance this evening, I will put something there. Maybe that can help.

I think you may be interested in channels like Arek'Jaalan, the ARC one (forgot the name), my corp's Human+. I think there could be a few more I can't think of right now.

I've heard of the Arek'Jaalan one, though I for a while thought it was just a mailing list.
When I'm on next, I'll take a look at all of those, maybe lurk a bit and get a feel for things. Thanks for the suggestions.

IIRC, the one I've seen advertised in C-suite bios is 'Arataka Communications Router'.
